Hi,
Well thanks to the Baha'i people it made me look deeper into the past and wanting to know the truth. They told me that they have a messager every 1000 of years to teach people the truth about gods plan and Jesus was just to send a message?  Mmm then mahammad in the Muslims time was to send a message but when I read about him it seems all of them sleep with many wifes and all this. But Jesus Christ,  he that I know of didn't have no wife or children or killed people. Just strange to me that all these prophet kill and had slept with different females. Anyways when I was with the ladys that are in the baha'i faith and had a brunch. Well I said I did some research on the past and learning more and one the lady got really hot headed. Because she knows and believe that the Baha'i is true. I honestly feel that all church have some truth but twist things around for power and money. I just wondering what you all think? Thanks!!
Love all of you!
SARAH

I read some Baha'i literature and thought it was very simple-minded.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

I believe   what the scriptures says    and not look outside of  God whom is within you ...
    1 COR 3;16You are God's Temple
16Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are....

Romans 6:16
Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey--whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?

Romans 8:9
You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:9
For we are co-workers in God's service; you are God's field, God's building.

1 Corinthians 3:17
If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person; for God's temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.

1 Corinthians 6:19
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

2 Corinthians 6:16
What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people."

Ephesians 2:21
In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.

Ephesians 2:22
And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

1 Timothy 3:15
if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.

Hebrews 3:6
But Christ is faithful as the Son over God's house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.

These are very powerful scriptures  to believe  how much  you should never look for God   anywhere  but as near as your own hearts  door  [Acts 17]

God is   working in you though Jesus Christ   and to stay faithful unto Him ..

so   you can  know   the Love of God     deeply and personally  and love Him in return   , He is very close and near  :HeartThrob:
Jesus is the reward  !!

I believe there's one way to God, through His Son Jesus Christ.  Crucified, risen, returning.  Every knee will bow and every tongue confess Jesus is Lord to the glory of the Father.

I believe he is in me and I do not want to be rude to them because they follow another man. They say they believe in Jesus and all. But I don't believe what they believe.  I really enjoy them because they are kind in their own ways. I see the good in people even if they are doing bad. Deep down when people are doing what they not supposed to do its because they are hurting and finding a way to excape. Well thanks. I believe only In Jesus Christ.

I have looked up Baha'i faith before and it is interesting. They believe that God sent messengers to specific cultures and specific time periods and the rules the messenger gives are specific to those people in that time (think the Old Testament laws being only applicable to Jews) but that the greater message is timeless (love, forgiveness, charity, etc). I might be able to entertain that idea but I do believe Jesus was speaking to the Jews of his day but his message transcends just that particular time period.

The Baha'i also believe that heaven and hell are just varying states of nearness or fatness from God in our minds and there is no eternal hell because we can eventually evolve closer to God.

Not horrible viewpoints and I don't think they are being bad, I think they have slivers of truth and some things incorrect but don't we all.

Right, no need to be rude to them.  They may be nice people, and need kindness anyway :).   Glad you believe only in Jesus as Savior.  Amen.

We all have only parts of the whole truth, but IMO, the main piece that must be there is Jesus, and anything less is falling short of the mark.  Many "good" people "miss" Him, until their appointed time.

I looked into the Baha'i faith when I was young. It was one of the last forms of alternative spirituality I looked into before the Lord revealed Himself to me.

Bahai's, on the surface, teach many "Christian like" things and can be very captivating.

Baha'is and Hindus believe in avatarism.

An avatar is a manifestation of God. A human embodiment of the invisible universal spirit or spirits.

Christians believe there is only one true avatar of God- Jesus Christ, the Son of God- who came into the world by the virgin birth.

"For so it pleased the Father to make all the fulness dwell in Him"(Jesus Christ) Col 1

"For He is the fulness of deity in bodily form" Col 2

Jesus is the firstborn, and the last...."Alpha and Omega". He is the "Logos"(expressed thought, or, manifest expression of the being of the invisible God)......and He is the FULNESS(pleroma-complete, satisfied, total sum) of deity/godhead that can be made visible to mankind.

"If you have seen me you have seen the Father"

"I am in the Father and the Father is in me"

"I only speak what I hear from my Father"

In Hebrews 1 we see it.....

God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, 2 in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. 3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.

5 For to which of the angels did He ever say,

"You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You"?

And in Phillipians 2

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Any spirit that does not acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ is an adversary, and that is why sometimes the most seemingly benign peaceful people will become very angry if you declare His name and acknowledge Him as the One and Only "avatar"- manifestation of God in the flesh.

Speaking the truth in love, yet with boldness we maintain this testimony and are excluded from among men for it.... "Jesus Christ is Lord". :o)
The Logos is complete, but it is not completely understood. http://www.hell-is-a-myth.webs.com/

I, too, had some encounters with the Baha'i when I was living in Cambridge, Mass., going to Graduate
School. Yes, very captivating and upbeat.

But, EW said it very well.......Jesus Christ is the only manifestation of God, Himself, on earth.

Matthew 24:

4 Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Messiah,' and will deceive many.

D.

7"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened....

Matthew 7:7 -8
