Past versus Future

G'day;
I find there seems to be a difference in time when looking back as against forward.
In one second I can be back 10 years remembering when my grandson was born. Or 35 years ago marrying my lovely wife. Then 39 years ago finishing high school.
When looking ahead a week from today seems a lifetime away. 10Years an eternity.
Living the moment seems to be a continuous state of being, yet time illusively disappears.
Picturing the ages to come is such an expanse of time which has so many events that will happen in an organised way so that mankind will be carrying out projects way superior to our current capabilities. This learning will be more detailed and specific which provides precision beyond our current ability to measure.
Looking at creation which is immense yet made of minute particles, seems to be like an illustration of how in the spiritual ages to come we may be relatively small to the heavens yet have the power to control those things which make up the heavens. We will be like Christ Who made those things with our Father. Incredible levels which need correct training and security of position. Thanks be to God Who has placed us in that position through Christ.

I definitely agree that He is very organized, with organization of course toward His purpose.. which shall all be fulfilled perfectly.. The idea that after the 1000 year milennium of Jesus - "they will reign with Him one thousand years" - the (not yet) saved will simply be woken up from their grave site bed (the gravestone as a headboard, is how i always see "the grave" :laughing7: ) and then after awakening they shall be simply dumped into a lake of fire - no matter what that is, spiritual, figurative [or physical/literal "fire"-which I do not see to be possible!] - That scenario seems to be SO lacking!

Imo, if YHWH were not to have an organized 'day' (age) of the review of all human history.. as to all things which went wrong.. and some few things which went 'right' - when 'good' triumphed over evil (of the day, etc).. but mostly as to how disastrous it all was.. To not have some sort of intense review, seems highly wasteful to me.. And for the review to be willy nilly, does not sound logical to me either.. I don't know when it was, or how it was that it dawned on me that if the ancient Spring Holy Days were fulfilled by Jesus' first advent, then it seems logical His long second advent will fulfill the ancient Autumn Holy Days (of Lev 23). Especially when it seems there are three peaks of that long advent -(1) His return and the 1000 year millennium - (2) 'day' of 'judgment' - And (3) the final consummation of all this (ages) when God becomes "all in all" and will now Tabernacle with mankind upon Earth made new...

...then i realized ( :laughing7: ) the second fall holy day, Day of Atonement's initials are DOA, just like those of the second resurrection will arrive at 'judgment' (greek = "decision) 'day' "still in their sins" and for all intents and purposes, therefor, arrive DOA -

Day of Atonement, the second Fall Holy Day (imo) coinciding or representing, the second peak of Jesus' long 2nd advent, Day of Judgment...

The three holy days being of course - Trumpets - DOA - Tabernacles

The opening statement of the Bible, for me, characterizes the whole process from creation(alpha) to God as all in all(omega).

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. 3 Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

Since Adam all have been formless and void, but the Spirit is always moving over the face of the waters. Mankind is often characterized as 'many waters' prophetically. This is the whole plan of God, speaking into chaos and dividing out of it the foundations of life. "As in adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive". This is addressed in Hebrews 4

Heb 4:4 For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day: "And God rested on the seventh day from all His works"; 5 and again in this passage, "They shall not enter My rest." 6 Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly had good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience, 7 He again fixes a certain day, "Today," saying through David after so long a time just as has been said before,

"Today if you hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts."

As long as it is called Today, His voice is speaking into the chaos at every level, His Spirit is hovering to perform His will, "who causes all things to work according to the counsel of His will."

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

A good example of this is in Jeremiah 4. The whole chapter is awesome, in dealing with God's anguish over the condition of His beloved people and their rebellion, but interjected into the middle of His dividing their works by the words of His mouth he says,


22 "For My people are foolish,
They know Me not;
They are stupid children
And have no understanding.
They are shrewd to do evil,
But to do good they do not know."
23 I looked on the earth, and behold, it was  formless and void;
And to the heavens, and they had no light.
24 I looked on the mountains, and behold, they were quaking,
And all the hills moved to and fro.

Theses two statements are(imo) the same.

1) "For My people are foolish,
They know Me not;
They are stupid children
And have no understanding.
They are shrewd to do evil,
But to do good they do not know.

2) I looked on the earth, and behold, it was formless and void; And to the heavens, and they had no light.

The purpose of the gospel is to conform all to the image of Jesus Christ- The Logos- "In these last days God has spoken to us in His Son. He is the radiance of the Father's glory and the exact representation of His nature."

The whole creation conformed to the image of Jesus Christ- perfected in love. He is the speaking of God, He is the hovering Spirit moving over the waters

2 Cor 3 16 but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.

We who have been "spoken into" are being divided asunder, the waters above from the waters below, "to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, bone and marrow" by the living and active two edged sword of the Spirit. Dry land is emerging, a foundation upon which to stand and upon which God is still building as the tabernacle of God rises out of the waters, a "House of Prayer For All People".

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus' sake. 6 For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

What is emerging out of the "Word" YHWH has spoken is the whole creation set free from futility into the glorious liberty of the children of God- perfected love and ALL totally free within a cosmos governed by love. No more principalities, no more rule, power or authority. All in love, "For where love is there is no need for the law".

"Beside the river their are trees of life with leaves for the healing of the nations". "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."

In the midst of all this time is simply the potter's wheel, or the threshing floor. it is the place where we "humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God so that he can lift us up at the proper time". it is the place where we can "let patience have its perfect work". It is the place where God will "separate the wheat from the chaff and thoroughly purge His threshing floor.

It is life :o)

The day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night when all the elements will dissolve in intense heat. Death is the thief. Life is over. Time is up :o) Everyone will awaken from death to their appointed place or reward or perhaps further correction before the throne, before the eyes of the one whose soul is a consuming fire and out of whose mouth proceeds a sharp two-edged sword.

But through the "administration of the fulness(pleroma- completed fully) of times God is gathering all things to one in Christ so that he can be ALL IN ALL.

Gathered out of chaos and futility, formless and void, by the moving of the Spirit and the spoken word, "Let there be light"...


For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

And He will shine into all when the times are complete. He will be ALL IN ALL and all will bear His image in love and freedom and joy and peace.

Man tries to advise God; or asks God to help in situations when they have been set up for a reason.

Would be why Isaiah and Paul said can the pot say to the potter why it was made?

Would seem to be why Paul advises not to be conformed to the things of this age, but transformed by the renewing of the mind. Christ also said that principle when telling people to repent.
However, in the whole scenario we need to have done these things so that we can have the error of our ways exposed. The need for the comparison as part of learning the good from the evil.
The future being way better than the past will wipe away all those tears of anguish and fear which were incurred on the current path which man walks.
Literally so awesome that words cannot express the gratitude of the heart when  truly set free  by Christ.
