..this is some verses (cross-references) i'm thinking about and am thinking it's kind of cool..

The Lord 'talks to all of us in many ways. Does He ever 'talk' to you using numbers? It took me a long time to realize and pay attention.
Iwas born 5/5/55 and He's always used fives.. but lately it's been 3's, and this was the latest -

Matthew 13:33 - "the kingdom of heaven is like a woman who worked leaven into three measures of dough til all was leavened.."

...which makes me think of 1 Corinthians 15:23-24 (amplified version) - "But each in his own order: 1- Christ the first fruits, then, 2- those who are Christ's [own will be resurrected with incorruptible, immortal bodies] at His coming. After that, 3- comes the end (completion), when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father" (Rev 21:5?) "after He has made inoperative and abolished every ruler and every authority and power.. ..so that God will be all in all.." (verse 28)

Matthew 13:33 - New King James Version (NKJV)

The Parable of the Leaven
33 Another parable He spoke to them: "The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened."

Matthew 13:33 - Young's Literal Translation (YLT)

33 Another simile spake he to them: `The reign of the heavens is like to leaven, which a woman having taken, hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened/U.R.' ..3 harvests(?) "that He be all in all"

I love that! It feels solid to me! Is encouraging.. I have a feeling UR is encoded all throughout the bible..

:Peace2:  (hope yer having a good day..)

Marie, I think you've got it!

I was just reading the corresponding passage in Luke, and was thinking it could mean that each measure is a day or 1,000 year period.  Now that we're in the third millennium, at least as it is commonly figured, it could be done...but I look around and obviously all is not yet leavened.  Nor can it be until God is All in all.  Well done!
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

..thanks! here's something else I was just thinking and wondering about...

1 Corinthians 15:23,24, the 3rd harvest -

the 1st being Jesus the firstfruit, the 2nd being at His return,

and then, the 3rd, when Jesus hands the kingdom over to the Father, having put down all authorities and powers into captivity to the Word/truth, when The Father says "behold I make all things new" - "all in all"

Won't that harvest be of the majority of mankind? who were not reconciled to God in this life; and didn't rise until they rose in the 2nd resurrection which is after the 1000 year kingdom rule of Jesus.. "and the rest rose not until after the thousand years" ..."after the thousand years have ended.." Rev 20:5,7

I'm thinking there are more folks who will have died without having known Jesus, than those who have known Jesus in this life (more unsaved than elect)... I'm thinking a lot more..

The E.D. doctrine would have us believe Yahweh merely wakes these unfortunate ones up and dumps them into a lake of fire.. I am seriously re-thinking that scenario.

:cloud9: Yes, He does. And the whole of the Word IS numbers. He created the concept. Blessings...

That is very good Marie.  It is not just a coincidence.  These numbers do tell you something.  There is correlation.  Don't forget about the resurrections in the Bible.  That number 3 is there again:

21 And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again.

Remember after 2 days is the resurrection which takes place on the 3rd day.

So here is something for you:

2 Kings 4:35 (KJV)
35 Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.

Let's remember that 3 is not listed here but in that verse is 7.  However, this seven is the same as the third.  I teach then when talking about when Christ will come which is actually the 3rd day.  That is why we know when Christ is coming.

marie glen

That's what I was thinking..
Quote"not just a coincidence"
...that the Lord used the number three and it correlates to the three vivifications of 1 corinthians 15:23-24...

I hadn't realized that about His rising on the 3rd day.. :gimmefive:

:Chinscratch: ..also this - Acts 20:9- "And in a window sat a certain young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep. He was overcome by sleep; and as Paul continued speaking, he fell down from the third story and was taken up dead." - the 3rd vivification will be of those who rise from their graves "still in their sins" / still spiritually 'dead' (when they rise from their graves, that is)..

..and also Jesus rose on the 3rd Holy Day of the Spring Holy Days/Holy Week of "passover"; "unleavened bread"; and "firstfruits" which always followed the regular weekly sabbath (likely on the cusp/evening as HE died as Passover was ending and Unleavened Bread beginning - Rose on the cusp of "Firstfruits" in order for both "after 3 nights and 3 days" and "on the 3rd day" to be accurately fulfilled..
:Peace2:
P.S - I drew an image a little while back illustrating this - click 2nd image - http://gospel-truth4all.blogspot.com/2016/01/his-great-plan-of-salvation.html On the image, the 3 vivifications being #1 in spring holy week and #1 and #3 of fall holy days/not yet occurred

I recall that James Bruggeman used to teach that the 3 vivifications correspond to the three harvests in God's economic system:

The barley harvest, the first resurrection of the overcomers.

The wheat harvest, the second resurrection of the non-overcomer Christians.

The fruit/veggie/etc harvest, the third resurrection of everyone else.

It may not be accurate, as I'm working with ~10 year old memories of what I read.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

That's very interesting.. Makes me want to study up on the "three harvests in God's economic system" - the barley harvest, the wheat harvest and the fruit//etc harvest! Thanks!

...something else I noticed about this parable.. our Lord told the parable of the sower and seed - then the mustard seed, then the 3 measures of meal, then disciples asked Jesus the meaning of the sower and seeds parable so He told them the meaning, then He asked them do you understand all these things? and they said yes.. it doesn't say they asked what the 3 measures of meal were or what did it mean "until all be leavened"... which makes me think they knew what He meant by "until all be leavened" - as in the Kingdom of God is like leaven - until ALL be leavened..

:cloud9: I agree that the 7 trettep mentioned is the same as the third. We're in the 3rd day from Christ, and the 7th day from Adam. That marks it a sort of double Sabbath, because HE IS our Sabbath rest that is coming, and the perfect day (1000 yr day) of the Lord. Adam lived to be 930 years, just short of the perfect "day" because of his disobedience. My  :2c: Blessings....
