the word "execrate"

Where I was led this morning!

This morning I was led to the parable of the "unjust judge" (Luke 18:6), from there He brought me to the words of Christ "Love your enemies" (Matthew 5:44).

I started to dig here into the second part of what He said, "bless them that curse you". This word bless means "speak well of" and the word curse means "to execrate".

What really blew me away was the definition of execrate, it means "threaten with divine judgment". (from E-Sword).

So the conclusion I was brought to was: "Speak well of (bless) them that curse you (threaten you with divine judgment."

This I believe is one of those hard sayings that we all have a hard time with; for how do we speak well of those that threaten us with Divine judgment?

Now also; How do we reconcile the verse that says "Agree with thine adversary quickly" (Matthew 5:25)? and how do we reconcile the verse that says "And a man's foes shall be they of his own household"? (Matthew 10:36).

Since the carnal mind is an enemy of God: Why would God want us to agree with our carnal mind quickly?  He has given me little tidbits but would like to hear from others as to how this is reconciled in others of His Spirit.

well I agree that I have been bound in disobedience as all men have..and have exhibited the corrupted nature in my flesh...and as

I am on the way to the Judge..my advocate,Christ Jesus is with me...and as I listen to His counsel to forgive all my fellowmen

their tresspasses against me..and forgive them freely...He pleads the blood of the cross before the Judgement seat..and I am

freely forgiven..and my name blotted out from the book of judgement/not guilty.My advocate also speaks of perfect justice

before the court..that just as all men have bore the image of the corrupt/so,too,shall all men bear the image of the incorrupt....

and I do not wish to prosecute/or take any legal action in the court against my accusors..for they too,bear the corrupted image

as I have.and true justice is met in this way..that mercy be extended and the book of judgements/accusation and sin be taken

away from before the court.  with the setting aside of the book of the dead[in sin]..the Book of life is brought forth and

my name is found written in it[for love keeps no record of the offense]

  70 7's....by that time surely you should have gotten out of the filthy habit of keeping records of sin[love keeps no record of the offense]

    behold  ..The Lamb of God that takes away all sin...................and the holy spirit in the 'bodily' form of the dove come down

  and remained on Him.  harmless....as a dove...those of the first resurrection are NOT HARMED of the LOF

  tortes and legal action before the courts are 'harm'  be careful how you build...wood hay straw..lest ye suffer loss in court/judgement

for harm.  be as wise as the serpent[accusor]yet 'harmelss' as doves.

Not to be nit picky ..... but this sounds more like you are agreeing with Christ quickly ..... not agreeing with the carnal mind (our advesary) quickly

appears that way..but if I have been bound in disobedience then my adversary..both temptor/accusor walks with me..as two

can not walk togather unless they are in agreement..that my advocate walks on the other side of me[Christ] is not unusual......

  for when I desire to do good/evil is present...who shall deliver me from this body of death..........

  my carnal man says I am cursed under the law to death for disobedience..my spirit man says I am  free by His blood.

  one is the image of the lawless under law..one is the free man/woman............


  see the clay vessel and two doves example under the law...for cleansing of leprosy..and purifiction after childbirth /and  dove...

   because I am bearing a son/unto you a son is given...and still in my blood sins as scarlet to become white as snow[leper]I need

 :cloud9: My  :2c: You agree with the adversary quickly if you believe God is in control, for Satan is just a tool, and all he does is accuse. If you judge yourself and repent, then judgment is averted. And; just because he accuses, doesn't mean he is always right, because we also reap where we have not sown. So only the Father knows the heart, and we have to take it before Him and hear Him on the matter.

Just encountered again something along these same lines this week. Was constantly being accused of something I knew in my heart I didn't feel, asked Him about it, got reminded of the principle of "mirroring" the Word. Which is essentially this, if you get accused, and you AND Him say/know you're not guilty of it, the person accusing is really looking into the Word that is like a mirror IN YOU, and seeing their own thing they need to overcome.

We've all done it, we've all been subject to it. A thousand and one principles hidden in plain sight, why we have to stay connected to His Spirit and keep our ear to His heart, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, even when we don't know we are doing it. Blessings....

So in other words ...... or should I say in a language from myself that I can understand ..... it is that our spirit man has been separated from our own carnal mind by Christ now knowing that we were in bondage to it, and that when we have been separated (awakened) we know that when we were one with our own carnal mind God was our adversary.

Does that make sense?

also ..... the pattern of the Tabernacle ..... the carnal mind (from which we have been separated) remains outside the camp (or outer darkness) as our spirit (blood) is brought into the outer court of the Tab, (The Body of Christ) then into the inner court (the mind of Christ)
where we reason with the Father through Christ and then the veil is lifted to where we see the Heart of Christ which is the Father as He is, that being Love ..... the essence of who and what He is ..... which Christ is also.

I woke up this morning with a   thought ,      we can see with eyes of understanding  in the   wisdom of the Lord
  not   the eyes  of the serpent      that is blind   , though he sees    what is in front of him , but  the Lord is  hidden from his   sight

Because you say you see your sin remains ....Spiritual Sight and Blindness


...40Those of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things and said to Him, "We are not blind too, are we?"

41Jesus said to them, "If you were blind, you would have no sin;

but since you say, 'We see,' your sin remains.

To  me    it seems    the'' sin remains''   because they are lying  spirits  of satan  whom rule the synagog  of satan    saying he are Jews but LIE ,


Saying we do not need you Jesus Christ we  reject the grace of God and have the law to save us      .

Avoid Divisions!!      The law verses  grace     and   no mixing  , causing divisions ....

   Jesus said be wise as serepents and harless and doves ...    I see Paul picking up on Jesus  command  here ....


20The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.   the good news of the gospel    is the teaching of peace ,   Double peace on the  earth as it is in heaven   


The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.  it is by grace you are saved it is the gift of God  ,  How can we reject so great a salvation .... how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him.

     Amazing grace   how sweet the sound !!    the voice of many waters  pure and holy and  from ABOVE   ...  faith comes by  hearing what the HOLY SPIRIT is saying ... :HeartThrob:

I don't as a norm agree with free will, but when this situation presents itself I would say that yes we have a choice to make, whether to agree with what we have learned or wallow in quilt and and shame, but when I agree quickly with the Adversary, then that accuser has no place anymore in me, now our Adversary has become our Advocate, and we agree that the law is good and holy and all together Righteous.
For only the law can accuse the flesh, but when we believe in who He says we are in the new man, the Spirit now brings in life and not death.

and the Truth is what sets us free !    the strong man of the  house that ol stubborn  carnal   mind ''mind of a beast  '' , must be  bound by the Spirit of God working in you
I do believe the  carnal mind is the only mind that can have the demonic influence you '' being lawless '' , as bound up under the law of sin  and death .Till Christ sets you free ,   I know this sounds  weird  , but thought of Lazarus   being bound up in disobedience     in grave clothes  and stinks  , till the Lord set Him free .

Allowed to rise  up out of  sin and death  in the tomb of our hearts . and  walk in the Spirit and Life in Christ ..

The Truth will Set You Free

I was surprised at what popped into my head or came to my mind when I read your post (op) because I found myself thinking it was culture in the era(s) to think of it as "threatening divine judgment".

Though also, I think when we think negatively concerning another one we are cursing them..(?) For some reason the spirit of life follows the patterns of thought.. :dontknow:

Since the goal (and end post) is the redemption of every one from sin/"missing the mark"/imperfection and its wage which is death/nonlife, we want to bless those which curse us.. maybe their load will be lightened contributing towards their liberty..

P.S and later edit, I think - "Since the carnal mind is an enemy of God: Why would God want us to agree with our carnal mind quickly?" is in a way, a slight misreading of the text.. I think scripture more and more, and as we 'progress', becomes less about one's self, and more about everything.. as we progressively are crucified with Christ and dying to self.. We as humans have the tendency to internalize everything, but are learning it's not all about us.. In a sense.. (it is but it ain't sort of thing) :dontknow: :Peace2:  :girlheart:
