I woke up with this message in my heart today.. so I posted it on my blog, though mostly, I was thinking of posting it here

When Paul tried to tell the synagogue of Thessalonica the good news that Messiah had come, they "contradicted and blasphemed". Heck, they caused a riot and "attacked the house of Jason"!

They were unable to believe the good news of Messiah.

Now when Paul got to the next town he preached in, at the synagogue of Berea, "they were more noble, for they searched the scriptures daily to see if those things were so".

Is it too good to be true that God wishes all to be saved? Is it too hard to believe that His Word will return to Him fully accomplishing all which He desires and intends? Is it possible for a person, or persons, to conceive of a better outcome than God Almighty does? Is it possible for Him to be less than perfect? Does perfect lose anything? Make mistakes? Paul wrote to Timothy (1 Tim 4:10) "..to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe". And Jesus Himself said, "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth" (on the cross!) "will draw all men unto me". Is it really too good to be true? Is it truly easier to believe He will lose the majority of mankind? Will consign to annihilation, or worse, forever, even those who never heard the "good news"?

"Love never fails" - 1 Corinthians 13:8. Never, fails. All, should at least "search the scriptures" to see if it is really so. But! We need go back to the original words. The King's men (and others) have had a couple of preconceived notions. What does it hurt to search the scriptures to see what is so?

well..they certainly couldn't put up with His appearance,eh? and they shall not see me again until they say 'Blessed is he who comes in the

name of the Lord."  Of coarse God himself will choose their delusion..and Jesus said 'Many will come in my name"

Truth comes like a thief when you don't love and believe it.The rejection of it leads us astray[lost] the opening of our ears to it

causes us to turn and be healed/found.

Hi Marie,

Your right it is "Great News" God will have all to be saved, but not all will find that narrow way on this side Jordan I'm afraid, why?
I believe it is exactly what you said ..."preconceived notions" in order for one to see the Word in Truth, one must die to those notions before he can see clearly.
And yes, it would hurt greatly I believe for some. For it would cost them family, friends, church, maybe even jobs...etc.etc...

I once had someone tell me, (Well Sister Scherryl, if I was to believe what your saying I would have to go back 40 yrs. and start again)....and he never did. :pitiful:
Even though this same one told me...Sister Scherryl, I feel like I'm just sitting in this place week after week dying.... he was referring to the church he attended.

Some are not willing to or it hasn't been granted by The Father to do so, I'm not sure which it is...
For me, I had become so confused on the doctrines compared to the things, that I thought I was seeing that I had to say that is it.....I'll not listen to or read another article till I KNOW YOU, and Only You... By You. I lost "everything" including the big one, "Self"....that's when I truly began to see as He see's, and hear as He hears.

The Truth Truly does set us Free

I often heard pastors and preachers speak. They will say one minute how everlasting God's love is for us, and in the next minute, say that many will go to hell.

That kind of love is conditional. It is conditional, because God has the means of saving all, yet He chooses not to.

I have studied the characteristics of abusive families, extensively.

Conditional love, rather than unconditional love, is one of the major characteristics of dysfunctional, and/or abusive families.

So, basically the Pastors are preaching, that God's love is dysfunctional, if they believe that it is His decision that people go to hell, because they believe His love is conditional.

Or, like C.S.Lewis, as in the book, The Great Divorce, they believe that people choose to go and stay in hell, because they cannot or will not accept certain things that God has asked of them.

So, they believe people prefer hell to heaven, by not accepting to do or believe what is asked of them, still knowing that God created these people, in His image and likeness, and formed
them in their mother's womb, with an everlasting love, but knew they would prefer hell to heaven. And, that if they didn't choose Him within their lifetime, their chance to change was forever gone. Or, like
C.S. Lewis, believe they can always change, if they do decide to, while in exile, in a limbo type place.

But, I find it difficult to believe people will not change or want to change, after standing in front of an Almighty God, with no more veil of this fallen world to misinterpret what is being asked or what their
fate will be if they don't accept a transformation. That they will not want to change when they realize the consequences. And, if God made some of us, never to change, does He truly love us all, with an everlasting love? Are we all equal in His sight? For, true love, does not have favorites. Another characteristic of dysfunctional families. ( Not saying that sometimes we can relate to one child more, but to treat them differently is not loving them both the same.)

Who knows the story of A Christmas Carol? Do you remember the scene with Marley appearing to Ebenezer Scrooge?

Do you think Marley would say no to a second chance?

Just some thoughts. I am still relatively new to UR.   :2c:

Oh, and "Love never fails" is my favorite UR quote, too, GodIsLove!               :cloud9:

  God is so good !!

Love How   some woke up   this morning with something   God gave to them in their hearts    a message  written in our hearts  :HeartThrob:

Love is the purest foundation  we can build upon   , was my  awaking  moment .. everything else will fail   the test...

I had posted that  on another thread  lol as well   and love how you  all have built this thread in Love for God  and  declar it ...

Marie I love the original post   thoughts   and thought  why did those  Berens   search those scriptures so carefully   ?

And what did Jesus say to those  opposing Him so greatly   , saying
John5 39"You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; 40  and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life....

I wondered what is this big difference  between the  two ?

and than        It dawned  in my heart   a light , it was because       Jesus had not been glorified yet   and able to     give the gift of the Holy Spirit of Truth
by breathing on them   scriptures     , open heaven so to   speak on the road to Emmaus  ,  as them  two  were given  the same message of truth

Making them hearts burn  and desire     HIM  , the Word of TRUTH  AND SPITRIT OF TRUTH   combined         caused  those    bererns     to hunger and thirst for

    Gods holy Righteousness ...

This to me is when the Holy Spirit become the  teacher and   comforter     from the Father    as promised  and told by Jesus Christ  beforehand

and   had many things to tell them and teach them still by the Holy Spirit  witness of truth           the Testimony  is TRUE

The foundation  laid down was His LIFE    for the lives of all   mankind , not just a few

I was speaking to a brother in private and  this revelation come     to LIGHT  that goes much deeper in meaning and hope to share it   ,  because we can hardly contain the joy in the Lord in our hearts      when He lets us know things  , of ''all things ''   that have come and will come to pass  still
and  Why   those promises given    and fulfilled      by the Spirit of prophecy      which is the very testimony of JESUS CHRIST fulfilling all things as promised     to those whom love Him   and we  do love Him , yes we do !!! !!!!        :HeartThrob:

Jesus is the reward  !!

...I can't remember who first quoted "love never fails", in relation to UR.. but when I read it, it was like a home run!

Because it's so true! Then I read "God/love never fails" - of course I knew "God is love" but it blessed my heart again!

Dandelion, I know you are right about dysfunction, and a dysfunctional family.. I never considered how ET implies (strongly suggests! :faint: ) the all loving Heavenly Father has conditional, dysfunctional love.. Imagine.. That is another, so good point!!

..I really think there's the idea that God (of the Bible) is rather schizophrenic? ..and just think.. 'hell' suggests psychosis..

Nope, ET hasn't a leg to stand on.. not one..

I, like you,  have come to the belief that God never made anybody in the first place whom He could not ultimately redeem. :dsunny:

Because of Christ we ARE children of God.
Our earthly dads seem to be respected and loved. God is bigger and better than them.
Churches ring the bell to get us to attend.
When Christ was resurrected then, figuratively, the bell rang out to declare the way open to enter the temple of God freely. The Veil was torn to the inner sanctum. Christ, our high priest, ripped that veil and gave us access directly to our LOVING FATHER.
Now that is literally " a pealing". :laughing7:
Fellow brother in Christ

:laugh2: You are so right, Ross! Great pun.. a fun pun.. and a-pealing indeed! And I love the thought of bells ringing through the centuries to gather the faithful..
