Hello all,

The Lord challenged me 3 times with the truth of UR beginning 7 years ago. It took me 4 years to yield my religious dogma and agree to the wonderful truth. I first stumbled across some Eby writings and then a profoundly inspired writing by Stephen Jones (really on a personal level but nonetheless. I just use the men as a reference point since it was the Lord teaching at all points) but I have been receiving blessing from the joys of the truth of UR for 4 years now, and finally feel settled and confident in the truth of it all. The thing about it that excites me most is how it vindicates the nature and character of our Lord and makes the gospel truly good news and glorious.

I was raised fundamentalist, then went to wesleyan/Nazareth university for Bible degree but still had many unanswered questions.

I recently again stumbled across this site and noticed the forum, and then felt led to register. I hope you all are blessed and wish you grace and peace today!

I am relatively new myself. If someone had asked me if I would ever be a Universal Redemption believer, I would have said an unequivocal NO, but, God knows our hearts and our timing, even when we do not, and I was ready to hear this, even though it was late in the game.

So, Welcome!  I think you will be refreshed and nourished here.

I know I have been. Hope to talk with you soon!

Thanks all. :)

And the name is just kinda goofy but I've always like the verse ... you guys strain out a gnat but swallow a camel...  so I try to let the gnats go per se in favor of the weightier matters. Blessings

That reminds me of how I describe myself on another www site as "A Lion in a Den of Daniels."

BTW:

WELCOME!
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

Hello,

Dang dude you are a quick learner! I saw some of EBY's stuff in the mid eighties and dismissed it as crazy. It took the Lord many years to convince my religious head. In 1997 he gave me a poem to describe his thoughts on the matter and it still took several years for my head to come into full agreement.

Haha. You guys are awesome. Thank u for the warm welcome. Yes, eby'S savior of the world series was/is profound. The Lord hit me hard with it. I knew beyond all doubt it was true but religious tradition can be strong lol. That's why I can be patient with others when they initially accept UR but then later reject it in favor of xyz...  I know that it's only a matter of time before the Lord confronts them again and again because He is faithful. I never could understand why the gospel is so glorious but now it makes perfect sense :)

  HI  Kory

I wanted to say welcome  :HeartThrob: can so relate in some ways .

I struggled with UR  for a  spell myself  , going back and forth [years on and off again]
wanted to be loyal to God only ....  Thinking this is to good to be true  , and itching ears  etc ...

and  saw the error in my thinking .....

The Law states Love God first,  whom is love and  love everyone as yourself  ,  that covers a  lot of  things  respectively .

The main  Light I got to help  win me over   greatly ,  was a battle  within ,  Knowing God would ask  us to love our enemies  and pray for them and let them  persecute you  ,  in  Matt 5

and the thought come to me ,    Why would God ask this of us IF HE did not do this all the time  himself ?     Epiphany  !!    Seeing Christ a great Light  of understanding  begin to flood  my being  , the very core ...    I cried    being so  humbled  and  lost  , but now found , needing more and more of Jesus   Christ in my thoughts and  prayers  , within    ...
I always come back to the Tent for true fellowship   ,  it seems it is   a limited  lot ! lol  for now anyways   :dsunny:
We are soooo blessed     and thank God for His mercy  and great grace  upon us all ...

So welcome friend    to the lot  of us .. :friendstu:
Jesus is the reward  !!

I too found Eby's material very edifying. Also the gems on scholars corner of the tentmaker website is awesome. Quite a few like minded believers. God be praised.
3 John 4 - I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
