I was listening to Christmas records today with my kids and this one came on. I know you don't all celebrate, but hope you can still enjoy! I had tears in my eyes as this song came on.

O Holy Night
Christmas Carol Lyrics

O holy night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;
O night, O holy night, O night divine!
O night, O holy night, O night divine!

Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming,
Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land.
The King of kings lay thus lowly manger;
In all our trials born to be our friends.
He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger,
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!

Truly He taught us to love one another,
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother.
And in his name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
With all our hearts we praise His holy name.
Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we,
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
His power and glory ever more proclaim!

Some  do celebrate the Christ    even in  Christmas    :friendstu: and I do believe with all my heart this song was Holy Spirit inspired   !
I know no one would call Jesus Christ accursed    , but being humbled by   human weakness and knowing the Holy Spirits power    declaring JESUS CHRIST IS LORD  ALWAYS ..  This song says it all !   Jesus Christ is King .. :HeartThrob:

1 Cor 12 Spiritual Gifts Bestowed
...2You know that when you were pagans, you were led astray to the mute idols, however you were led.

3Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is accursed"; and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.

4Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit....

Jesus is the reward  !!

Love this song.....I have known it since a child.

I remember the first time I heard it......my Girl Scout Leader's daughter, who had a beautiful voice, sang it for us. I was about 8 years old, I think.

Music can certainly touch the soul, in a special way.

    Many of those songs soften the  :HeartThrob: :HeartThrob: :HeartThrob:'s of men and it seems the Spirit of God draws many a soul during this season. :dsunny:

Many of the Psalms are actually to music.
Joshua went around Jericho to music, with style!!
After the Exodus they went into song.
Music is an incredible expression.
Songs of literal praise stir up literal joy.
