About two dozen dead and many more wounded and at the hospital. Why did they have to adapt just the orgies and the fith from Western holidays like All Hallows' Eve?  :dontknow:

I pray for them and their families.
Micah 7:7

But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.

John 15:5

I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Good question.
The lust of the flesh is indescribable at times. Reminds me of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Also what happened when Lot was visited by the angels.
Seems to be heading in the direction of mankind becoming just like it was in the days of Noah.

The oldest known manuscripts agree with each other 99% of the time.  The scriptures, accurately translated, Spirit revealed - reliable.   Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.  Heb. 12:2

Gospel of Luke 13:4-5

Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?  I tell you, Nay:  but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

Great posts, everyone. Our nation is bewildered by this event.

So sad, my wife spent a few years as a Nurse for Healthaid UK looking after little HIV AIDS babies neglected by the Ceausescu regime...Not all of them were AIDS babies and they would be in their early to mid twenties today.

Is this the club which had fire works inside, in the basement? Not only is the way of Cain, the flesh-the lower unregenerated/not yet reconciled to God nature, is not only corrupt/misled, but not the clearest thinking.. And if it was fireworks, sadly, so avoidable.. making it doubly sad, if possible..

Amen.. the wages (result) of sin ("missing the mark"/imperfection) is death.. the end result and potential for us all, except for one thing.. God's Great Plan of Salvation/ God's Great Intent..

Truth!

Oh, the love that drew salvation's plan!
Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!
Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span
At Calvary!

Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty
At Calvary.

They were not prepared for a fire and they paid for their recklesness... although I wish it hadn't happened like this.  :sigh:

The Communists said no to abortion because they wanted many future workers. However, if the baby was sick or weak, they did not care very much.

I think the story of the Tower of Siloam and the Galileans whose blood was mixed with the sacrifices by Pilate was aimed at Jewish zealots of Jesus' time. Jesus taught compromise with the Romans in the Sermon of the Mount, to impress them with goodness, and indeed this was the way of the early church in Jerusalem that did not join the jewish zealots in their rebellion against Rome. And so they came to death, but those who got into the compromise with Rome came out okay. And it's less about judgment but more about consequences ... God wanted Israel to submit to Rome, but it did not wholly want to and so the outcome was being fought and then destroyed. Give God what is God's and Caesar what is Caesar's. I once wanted to steal something from a store because I was dirtpoor and needing it, but God came to me and said I would only get in trouble with the police. In God's intention no one should be poor but we cannot afford to rebel as that would be disastrous for us. And there are always other ways although you must be modest with your demands in this world.

Many people here aren't turning to God in this tragedy, they gave in to fear and anger and are rioting now against the whole government.  :sigh:
