John_6:66

Hello All, a little bit about myself. Both my wife and I were born in Kansas have lived here most of our lives, all of our married lives of going on 26 years Jan 6th that is next year. Had a very dramatic encounter with the living Christ on Aug 10 1986 complete deliverance from close to 20 years of drinking, druging the whole nine yards of coming to age in the late 60's to early 70's. that's enough for now I guess.

Welcome Brother;
This whole life is a learning experience. Serious lessons teach us heaps about what to really value.
Keep searching as the truth literally sets us free from heaps of negativity.

Amen to that, years ago I was doing street ministry in New Orleans during Mardi Gras and the guys with the half mile hailers screaming turn or burn just T-ed the people off more than anything and hardened peoples hearts.

John 6;64-66 make some key points which do not usually get mentioned in the church environment.
John is indeed a spiritual gospel.
John 8;44 Also outweighs the church understanding of satan as a fallen angel. He was actually, as he is now, right from the start.

John_6:66

Growing up a heathen and not knowing the true gospel I was like those who said that it is a hard thing to follow Christ. Jon 6:60 I was filled with the law of dos and don'ts. Al I knew was I couldn't I had tried to many times to stop drinking and drugging. After my conviction and deliverance it became Jon 6:68 Lord I have no other place to go You have the Keys to eternal life. I had had what felt like an eternity of drinking and drugging and when times got tuff which all us go through weather saved or unsaved just a fact of life. I knew that only death laid behind me and only life was in front of me. So Jon 6:66 is a reminder that these disciples had been with Christ long enough to of seen healings, deliverances and possible the feeding of the 5000.  And yet turned away from Him for a hard saying.

Ross

True indeed.
Romans 8;38,39 Back up that concept;
For I AM CONVINCED that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, NOR ANY OTHER CREATED THING, WILL BE ABLE TO SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD."

Literally hits the nail right on the head.
May He indeed bless you and keep you and blow your little socks right off.

Greetings and welcome, from western Missouri!!  :friendstu: :gimmefive: :friendstu:
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.
