"Tears Come To The Rescue"

When you go to worship Jesus
And you find just words won't do
Then let the tears run down your cheeks
You see -- He hears them too

They're the Melodies of Heaven
Never yet sung on Earth
We sang them long - long - long ago
Before our natural birth

We sing them now within our tears
To Him we glorify
The "Highest Praises" from our hearts
As our flesh man slowly dies

The words in our own language
Though they're many -- They're too few
So when we're at a loss for words
Tears come to the rescue

Then breaking forth the "Highest Praise"
His glory fills our soul
Just like it did when we once sang
Those many years ago

But someday soon we're going to sing them
And to the tears give voice
With the tongues of men and angels
The heavens will rejoice

As it was in "The Beginning"
So it shall be in "The End"
All creation -- totally whole
And glorifying Him

You can doubt it -- if you want to
But what "He Said" - Shall Come to Pass
And you will find -- You're totally whole
Glorifying Him at Last

"The End" is "The Beginning"
It's "The Future" and "The Past"
And with than now -- having been said
"Heavens Going To Be A Blast"

Sometimes and often times in great worship services I have been so moved that all I could do is just stand with hands raised while tears trickled down my face. Often times I was a bit embarrassed being a grown man so I'd try to wipe them away without being noticed. One day after talking with the Lord about my manly concern he placed this poem in my heart. I don't have a scripture to prove it but it was the last time I was embarrassed by it. The verse in in the Book of Job Chapter 38 vs 7 is the best I can do. I believe God was jarring Job's memory of his previous estate as found in Genesis Chapter 2 vs.1 being one of the hosts before his earthly birth. I hope you enjoy the poem and may this be a blessing to all that sometimes get teary eyed when the Lord's presence is found manifest in a great worship service.
