Greetings,

I am a new member to Tentmaker and really like your site.

I live in west central Florida recently visited a Pastor in Western Pennsylvania I have know for thirty years while on vacation recently.  He was preaching about hell - or actually the lack thereof - and I was intrigued. 

I come from a reformed background that is oriented to the Grace of God but still preaches about hell and eternal damnation.  But after doing a great amount of research and praying over the attributes of God - I am convinced in my spirit  that UR is from the heart of God.

Please pray for me, my wife and my son who is a pastor, that we will stand strong in the faith and grow in our knowledge of UR. 

Any advice on how to even start telling my friends at my church of my change of heart will be appreciated.  The church I go to is an Acts 29 church group affiliate.

Thanks for sharing and enjoy the site and fellowship.

As far as sharing it with the church you go to, I'd just smile a lot, and if anyone asks, tell them why you are so happy!

Hello! :hiya: And welcome to Tentmaker, and Tentmaker forum! How to communicate UR to others is a question we all consider.. I like to simply slip in those revealing verses whenever I get the chance, and often leave it at that for some time.. The longer we realize UR, the more we see it in His Word! :dsunny:

I am glad you are enjoying the website....so am I.

I am a very recent 'convert' to UR. I am a former Catholic, presently an LCMS Lutheran Deacon and rostered teacher. I am also involved with a few Christian ministries.

I understand your concern to discuss your beliefs with your church. I, too, am thinking about how I am going to approach my Christian friends, Ministries, and Church, in regard to sharing my present beliefs.  I realize that life, as I know it, will probably not be the same.

However, the truth will set us free.......we must, as I see it, seek the truth, always, just as the salmon must swim upstream, against all odds and for whatever the cost. And, yes, share it, as well.

It is one of our highest callings as a Christian, to do so.

2 Timothy 1:
6For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. 8Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me His prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God,...

I believe this Bible quote is a good place for us to start. We will have His love, strength, guidance, wisdom and truth......to guide us. And, we know that that must and always is much more than sufficient.

I will be praying for you.

I believe in being led by the spirit. I waited until i was as comfortable with the UR "matrix" of scripture as I am with my own breath before I began to share it with friends and associates- but that was just me, everyone must follow wisdom on their own. I typically share the half dozen irrefutable verses on the reconciliaton of all and work my way out from there to the character of God, translation issues and perspectives on the lake of fire and aionian fire and corrective kolassis(punishment, testing). I often find myself winding up with Romans 11:32-36, John 12:32, and Phil 2:8-11.

Universal reconciliation is the glory of God fulfilled..... We are but the first fruits, the seed stock, so to speak, of the restoration of allthings spoken of by all the prophets and sages since the world began.(Acts 3)

Hi there newbie from Florida. I just joined TM today. I'm an old-timer just a young 68 years old. I also had a Catholic background but had a real Jesus encounter in 1976. I live in Lakeland, Florida if you are anywhere close maybe we can get together and share sometime. I have a personal website but I have to read the rules again to make sure it's permissible to post a link to it. The Lord began to give me spiritual poems many with scriptural insight and revelation as well as just good living wisdom after being filled with the Holy Ghost. I love to share as in the current day and age likeminded believers seem to be hidden to a large degree. The teaching of eternal torment has people so bound that it's easy to be branded as a heretic by traditional believers if you tell them about a God that will save all. I think it's because the church teaches a mixture of law and grace and turns people into lawyers and judges which blinds them to the mercy of God except in a measure.

Absolutely true brother! The love of Christ compels us to preach...love that does not pressure people to accept the message or else! Am glad you 2 live near each other. Since having my heart renewed in 2011 by UR I am yet to have any fellowship at all with believers. Those in my town of 3000 are all united in their belief that I am a heretic. So as you say we are hidden. My 3 children have no Christian friends because we left the church in 2010 when they were 9,10 and 12 years old. It has been tough. My wife has found it especially tough. But we realise that the Father has us in His hand and that all this is His purpose.
As far as telling the believers what I believe now...I don't unless they ask me what is the hope I have. Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
