Our life purpose is to bring Glory to God

I have believed, from my earliest days, that we are here, first and foremost, to give God glory, through the way we live our life, indicated by the fruit we produce, the love we share, and the honor and obedience we give to God. Which, basically all add up to giving our lives to Him, so that He may be seen through us, thus giving Him the glory.

I was searching the Bible for confirmation of this, and I found this Bible passage, which, not only, for me, confirms the above, but also confirms Christian Universalism.

I would welcome your thoughts on this.

3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. 4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. 14 The Spirit is God's guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people.  He did this so we would praise and glorify him.

It is beautiful to live with God in this time. And we lack nothing when we have God and the love of our fellow man whom God loves too, not just us.

The love of God is the only thing that brings true fulfillment. It is what we need to truly live and love. This brings God glory, He first loved us, when we surrender to His love, we love Him back, we are satisfied and give Him glory.

Our lives begin to mirror His love, forgiveness, mercy, justice, peace, truth and so on. 

We are the Light of the World, reflecting His Light....the only one true light. In the darkness, we shine, so people can come to know Him.

We are like the moon, which can only reflect light.

We seem to learn to appreciate love more and more when that love is displayed in the events which we go through.
Christ was a literal display of God's love for mankind. Through that love we become sons and daughters of a living God with life to come which is beyond our limited ability to grasp in this current age.
To grow in love we need to walk with Him.
Looking at our parents in this life gives a hint of His love which is greater than theirs.

This was exactly what I was thinking about when I came here today! How Father and Son in us and going to be all in all, glorifies God throughout eternity.. Why did Cain slay Abel? The first human born (of human parents).. a murderer.. The 'fallen' or more exactly, imperfect state is THE horrific Pandora's box. Every hate.. even every dislike is murder in the heart.. robbery.. imperfection, all such leads to death.. is the opposite of God Who is Life, therefor, spiritually speaking, we are all 'killers'.. Flawed and imperfect. The "only good" and the only life, is God. Throughout eternity there is no other possibility. Within God, endless potential. Not in God, nonlife. He is the only Life.

The underlined verses are truly beautiful and they can really help a person that has doubts or suffers because of sin. I really wish UR was known and accepted by everyone.  :cloud9: :girlheart:

Amen.. UR helps someone to realize we are all in the same boat.. Even Jesus, when someone called Him "good master" said "why do you call Me good? There is only one Good.." But yet God's plan is to glorify Himself in all and through all! It's He who slays the beast, through Jesus.. And all during Jesus' life, what He was doing and attempting to do, is to show us the Father.. I think of it like this, I learned a valuable lesson about prayer.. quite conscious of never, never praying enough or for enough people.. I feel the Lord showed me it's in human nature to skirt around the edges of God.. But as we read and live His Word, He turns us so we face the Father more and more so.. our face turned toward Him.. then I began to pray much more, and realized it's not me who does it.. it's Him. ( :doh: of course..)

"you've not asked the Father.. henceforth you will pray to the Father in My name.."

..."..except by prayer and fasting.." because fasting with prayer is for turning our face toward God
