to go to God after death is not to be feared

Hello,

before I became a christian in the church I believe I actually had a more merciful idea of Jesus. I thought after death I come to a court session where Jesus would be my advocate. I would have to get through a review of my life, and according to my deeds I would experience happiness as a reward for my good deeds, and sadness and shame as a punishment for my bad deeds. This is only normal because God is interested in our lives and He is the Judge. The foretold fires of judgment are intense emotions we will feel then. But we will be in the company of holy angels and the Lamb of God. We will see Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael and the other Holy Ones.

And we are not left alone on this world either. When I was in the hospital last year I had a vision of angels caring for us, and they told me that mankind should be like brothers and sisters to each other and that in this would be strength and power and peace. This is the vision of jesus Christ too who declared that God is our father.

me too,Daniel..they can make us two-fold the child of hell!   He broke open the way so we may go boldly to the throne and mercy seat.

    sometime we feel the fire in our faces :Oops:   Jesus,when taking on the appearance of sin..despised the shame of the cross...

    as people age[white fields/wheat white unto harvest] they chew the cud..review their life..prepare to meet their final enemy.

Seems this is from the perspective of a believer, with the blood of Christ applied.  If so, seems it would still be best to stand before God and hear "well done, good and faithful servant", rather than with shame and regret due to our disobedience. 

Personally, even though no one's "better" than anyone else, none of us have deserved God's mercy (either the elect/pre-destined in this life, or the destined in the next) and have nothing to boast about, but instead to be humble and serving;  I don't believe spiritually reborn believers are in the truest spiritual sense brothers and sisters with the world.  We don't have the same spiritual (f)Father.

Jesus loved sinners (all saints were "the world" at one time) and ate with them - to change them.  An interesting study would be separation from the world, not being friends with the world, etc... :2c:

P.S.  I certainly don't have all this figured out, what it all means, how to do it, etc.     I wonder (and wander) a lot.  Am asking the Lord to give me understanding about similar things.  He just impressed me today to TRUST Him and seek Him.  IMO, that's the way we'll stand.
