So this gambler had just lost his last dollar, and was sitting at the curb muttering "just 10 more dollars and I knew I would have struck it big" when he hears a voice reply to him.

"Do you really believe that?"

Looking around, he sees nobody nearby, thinks about it, then says "Nah, it can't be, I must be losing it".

Another reply, "No, I am who you think I am".

The gambler still is shaken, "If you are, then you know all about me".  So of course God gives him a complete rundown on the gamblers life, including details no human could have known.  Now the gambler believes, and says "Wow, so what is eternity like?".

God replies "My son, it is beyond your understanding.  Let it just be said that what is thousands of years to you is like a mere second to me".

The gambler asks "So you are like rich beyond rich too, right?".

God say "Money has no value to me, but if you need understanding, consider that a million dollars to you is like but a penny to me".

Always scheming, the gambler asks "So God, could you please give me a penny?".

God, being God, replies "I'll get it to you in a second."

I sent it to some of the guys in the band, but replaced "the gambler" with Aaron, who's the "character" in our group.  Thanks!
