Nigerian Bishop has a vision of Rosary defeating Boko Haram

Good Morning all,

Today, I heard a story about a Nigerian Bishop who had a vision that Lord Jesus gave him a sword which transformed into a Rosary. Then  Lord Jesus said "Boko Haram is dead" 3 times. His testimony is in the link below. What are your thoughts?

 i and  you pull up a photo of a rosary..you will see beads..representing prayer..and a cross symbol. He is telling them that the victory/overcoming of all the power of adversary..is through prayer and the cross.  In other words..make all your petitions known unto

  God through prayers..and pick up your cross and follow Him..not to pick up the sword.

   He speaks to people where they are at..... I know we are not to pray to Mary..but this man does not.

ps  now some people in ignorance may make an idol of a rosary cause of this[symbol] just like they did of the serpent on the brass pole

  when God used that symbol in the wilderness. God uses some symbols things for/as a taeching tool to speak spiritual things.  and it is not

the tool that  is to be worshipped as an idol..but God.

  also,if God/Jesus never spoke to anyone unless they first had all accurate knowledge/understanding..then God would and Jesus

would have never spoke with anyone.

  carnal warfare[literal sword] is not the way to overcome the world..but faith,prayer and picking up your cross.

My dad, who will be 91 years old in about a month if he makes it, says his rosary everyday, but I quit the Catholic Church when I was young because I knew something wasn't right even though I didn't know anything about scripture yet. I know visions are affected by our spiritual beliefs, and that's why I think the sword became a rosary for the bishop in the video. But I know that the sword of the spirit is a declaration of God. (Ephesians 6:17) I think that's what will ultimately overcome evil, not the rosary. The rosary is a collection of beads on a chain that represent prayers, a few being those for the so called Lord's prayer that I think is actually the prayer for the disciples and a bunch more for prayers to the dead mother of Jesus who Catholics think is the queen of heaven. I think one of the things wrong with Catholic doctrine is prayer to dead ancestors including Mary and other so called saints who have been officially designated as such by Rome, which is a different concept that what saints are in scripture meaning those chosen by God. That's not because we are righteous, or judged to have performed miracles as is the case with Rome, but because we were chosen before the disruption of the world. (Ephesians 1:4) Boko Haram is the African arm of the quest for Muslim world domination that is said to be allied with ISIS that has already established a caliphate in the Middle East. I think this was all prophesied by the messenger to Hagar about Ishmael. (Genesis 16:1-12) But, like I said, I don't think praying the rosary is what's going to help. I think Rome did a disservice to Christianity with the Crusades, but I think that shouldn't stop us from using any resources we have to try to end the current Muslim atrocities hopefully without committing too much collateral damage or any atrocities of our own. War itself could be considered an atrocity, but sometimes it's necessary for self-defense. I've been reading about how the poor women captured by Boko Haram and ISIS have been mistreated while those organizations claim to be doing the work of their god. Things like that, and even the atrocities of the Crusades, are what atheists like to point to when saying religion only causes bad in the world. Unfortunately there's a lot done in the name of God that dishonors God. All we can do is try to provide a good representation of God by sharing God's love with all like Jesus did.

There is one intercessor for us, and He does not require us to repeat prayers designated to Mary on beads. Name one disciple who did so. Jesus was required to honor father and mother, and even He said who are my brethren, even those who do the will of my Father, when his mother and brethren were outside desiring to see Him. The flesh profits nothing, was His point. My  :2c:

Many Catholics believe that the 5 pebbles David used to defeat Goliath was a foreshadowing of the 5 decades of Mary's Rosary. Also, they believe Jesus will use Mary's Rosary to defeat the anti christ when he returns.

Although i wouldn't think of this as a vision "from God" per se.. I do believe the Spirit of Truth tries to communicate with all psyches and it comes to different minds in different ways.. Not that prayers to the saints and Mary were inspired by God's Spirit! but even in that system if one truly seeks Him, some truth will shine through..

But I believe the 'vision' was an interpretation by his mind, that prayer defeats.. but I would lean toward believing it is a false prophecy.. I think prayer could defeat ISIS but I have my doubts it will.. And if the thought is some sort of magic in the rosary itself.. well, that's just crazy talk! :laughing7: imo
