I agree. I think we can all have the hell scared out of us or just laugh at the whole crazy idea of the church trying to do that.

Great ..here it is :

Poor soul arrives in hell and is told he has a choice of
nasties . The tour begins in first place where folk are being slowly spit roasted and being prodded by demons forks.  So the guy says no thanks lets see more so in next chamber the people are having to walk over hot coals - while being poked by the forks
again. " No thanks ,show me more". So they go on into
a kind of sewer where all the people are in it up to their necks and drinking coffee out of cups held high.
So guy reckons its the most bearable and says "ok, i'll
take this one then " Gets in and just as he gets his coffee the Devil shouts out " Ok , coffee breaks over everyone back on your heads ."  :URWelcome:

That's funny, and it's a whole lot better than thinking about getting burned alive forever.
