Happy Mother's Day!

I may be breaking the rules by doing this, but I just want to say Happy Mother's Day! to all you Tentmaker mamas out there because I think a mother's love is our first experience and realization of unconditional love from God. I think all moms are true messengers of God's love. Some people might say angels, and I wouldn't object to that. My mom's dead, and I'm sorry I made her crazy when she was alive. But I loved her, and I guess she knew that because I, the black sheep of the family, was the one she called to come help her when she was really crazy with Alzheimer's. So I got to spend some time with her for the last few years of her life. The good news is I know I'll get to hug her again one of these days when we're all snatched away to meet Jesus Christ in the air and never die again. God bless all you moms out there.

Thank you,  Tom.   :)   I think about that too, being reunited with loved ones in a place where they are made whole and more alive than they ever were while on this earth.

My two oldest remembered it was Mom Day...but my youngest (19. Not that young! )  said not a word till I gently reminded him what today is.  But boy oh boy, when it's his   birthday ...I'll be informed way ahead of time of the things he wants and I best not forget.    Gotta luv em!   :)

Thanks Tom, and a late Happy Mothers Day to the rest of all the Moms out there. I had a wonderful day, spent the whole day with my beautiful children and we were able to spend the morning with my Mom, the afternoon with my Grandmother and the evening with my step Mom and step sisters. We are very blessed to have so many wonderful loved ones around us!  :HeartThrob:

I remember before God all the mothers who have departed.   I lost my mother to cancer in 2009.  She was a church goer and a Christian but some believe she wasn't saved and saw her as a non-believer.  I said this when aged 16 in defiance of what some churches teach:
"I will be in heaven with all my family and friends" [because all are saved and I still say it today].
In Britain we celebrate Mothers Day on Mothering Sunday during lent.

I can't imagine being hit with, "Your mother is in hell" on top of dealing with the grief of her death. Thank God you knew better but many don't and I ache for them. I don't believe these people mean to load a heavy burden onto people, they are simply deceived and are trying to save the rest of us from whatever terrible fate they believe befalls us at death. I just ache for them.

I agree, sis. I had a hard time understanding why they were telling me my mom was going to hell just for being Methodist when I was trapped in the Catholic Church, but later, when I checked out the Protestant Church, they told me my whole family was going to hell for being Catholic. I know they're all nuts now, but I still feel sorry for the people that believe it. It is definitely a relief to know my mom who is dead now isn't being tortured in fire, and I'll get to see her again someday when nobody will ever die again.

I believe your Mom is in heaven.  My mother went to a Methodist Church.
