It takes a Holy Spirit filled Son of God to actually feed meat to a sheep.

As one of the sheep I appreciate that feeding me requires a lot of patience.

Sometimes one can only trust the food of a peace maker.

  Thanks Bro Daj ,
Jesus told us   His" meat"to eat was to Do the Will /desires of God His Father and our Father   ,  same pattern   Jesus /foundation   to establish in the earth

following Him  ,,, and for me is    hearing His  Voice  /Spirit is saying    to His commandments   in obedience /compliance with an order, request, or law or submission to another's authority.
He is Here in Spirit and Truth          the same Spirit and Truth we are to worship the Father     in
Go to My Father your Father   its family !! :flowerred:

Jesus   signified/ Gave a sign to us whom Believe   Him
this prophecy   fulfilling it   by His   presence

"Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, 'He gave them bread from heaven to eat.' " Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven.

For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."

Then they said to Him, "Lord, give us this bread always." And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst." (John John 6:31-35)

Jesus is the true manna which gives eternal life.

The manna in the wilderness sustained the Israelites for a time, but they still died in the wilderness:

and why was that ?  answer is in Hebrews 3     because   they did not want to  hear /  listen     and    faith comes by  hearing what the Spirit is saying    and this  faithless     way of doing     is causing   the hardness of their hearts  /turning   away    from Him  instead of to Him   for  entering  rest/ help and  a relationship   with Jesus  our GATE   /opening to    Jesus peace     metaphor. the heavenly blessedness in which God dwells, and of which he has promised to make persevering believers in Christ partakers after the toils and trials of life on earth are ended.

16For who provoked Him when they had heard? Indeed, did not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?

17And with whom was He angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

18And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who were disobedient?...

Jesus feeds us  with heavenly food , clothes us with Himself ,   our covering  for nakedness /exposing sin from the  good law   that  Paul speaks of showing sin in our members  Romans   6,7  8

"I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die.

I am the living bread which came down from heaven.

If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever;

and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world." (John John 6:48-51)

It is easy to be at peace while sharing food.

We can feed Jesus by just simply sharing a meal.

Could consuming calories with someone else consuming calories be Spiritual.

famine for the word of GOD   from Amos till Christ come      was a long pause till the fulness of time had come     , when Christ was born as a woman under the law     and the true fruits of   the Spirit   those gifts of God would be given though His only  one of a kind Son Jesus Christ
when Christ come and went     He was fulfilling the    Law  of death to bring in the new covenant  of Hebrews  chapters   1 -13    when the Lord would pour out His Spirit on all flesh      at Pentecost      Acts 1   we see this promise  being    fulfilled in Christ  and its results      also the results of   Hebrews  6   when it does not produce   the fruits of the Spirit      , but briars and thorns       ..   the Two edged Sword / Word of God      judging       as  death and life   are ours

drinks the  former and latter rains        hebrews 6 A Call to Maturity
...6and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame.

7For ground that drinks the rain which often falls on it and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is also tilled, receives a blessing from God; 8but if it yields thorns and thistles, it is worthless and close to being cursed, and it ends up being burned

the fruits of the HOLY SPIRIT    verses the fruits of rottenness /decay  and dried up

I noticed this     that Dan means judges    and the tribe of Dan is not sealed in the book of revelation     , those  judges  /Dan  are  ones whom  the   end has come

Amos 8 Expanded Bible (EXB)

The Vision of Ripe Fruit
8 This is what the Lord God showed me: [L look; T behold] a basket of summer fruit. 2 He said to me, "Amos, what do you see?"

I said, "A basket of summer fruit."

Then the Lord said to me, "An end [C the Hebrew word for "end" sounds like the word for "summer fruit"] has come for my people Israel, because I will not ·overlook their sins [L pass by them] anymore.

3 "On that day the ·palace [or temple] songs will become ·funeral songs [L wailing]," says the Lord God. "·There will be dead bodies [L Many bodies/corpses] thrown everywhere! ·Silence! [or ...and carried out in silence.]"

4 Listen to me, you who ·walk on helpless people [trample the needy],
you who are trying to ·destroy [do away with] the poor people of this country, saying,
5 "When will the New Moon festival be over
    so we can sell grain?
When will the Sabbath be over
so we can bring out wheat to sell?
We can ·give them less [L make the ephah small; C a unit of dry measure]
and ·charge them more [L the shekel great; C a unit of money],
and we can change the scales to cheat the people.
6 We will buy poor people for silver,
and needy people for a pair of sandals [2:6].
We will even sell the ·wheat that was swept up from the floor [L chaff of the wheat]."
7 The Lord has sworn by ·his name, the Pride of Jacob [or the arrogance of Jacob], "I will never forget everything that these people did.
8 The whole ·land [or earth] will shake because of it,
and everyone who lives in the land will ·cry for those who died [mourn].
The whole land will rise like the Nile;
it will be ·shaken [stirred/heaved up], and then it will ·fall [sink; subside]
like the Nile River in Egypt [C the Nile flooded its banks each year]."
9 The Lord God says:
"·At that time [L In that day] I will cause the sun to go down at noon
and make the earth dark ·on a bright day [in broad daylight].
10 I will change your festivals into ·days of crying for the dead [mourning],
and all your songs will become ·songs of sadness [dirges; lamentation; weeping].
I will ·make all of you wear rough cloth to show your sadness [L put sackcloth on every waist];
·I will make you shave your heads as well [L ...and baldness on every head].
I will make it like ·a time of crying [mourning] for the death of an only son,
and its end like the end of an ·awful [bitter] day."
11 The Lord God says: "[L Look; T Behold] The days are coming
when I will ·cause a time of hunger in [send a famine throughout] the land.
·The people will not be hungry for bread or thirsty for water [L ... not a famine of food or a thirst for water],
but ·they will be hungry for words from [L for hearing the words of] the Lord.
12 They will ·wander [or stagger] from the ·Mediterranean Sea to the Dead Sea [L sea to sea; C across the whole land],
from the north to the east.
They will ·search for [run to and fro seeking] the word of the Lord,
    but they won't find it.
13 ·At that time [L In that day] the beautiful ·young women [virgins] and the young men
will ·become weak [faint] from thirst.
14 They ·make promises [swear oaths] by the ·idol in [L sin of] Samaria
and say, 'As surely as the god of Dan lives ... [1 Kin. 12:29]'
and, 'As surely as the ·god of [L way to; C perhaps the pilgrimage route to the pagan worship there] Beersheba lives, we promise....' [C Dan was the city farthest north in Israel and Beersheba farthest south.]
So they will fall
    and never get up again
."

we can tell by Joel     2       that the   trumpet blows       , for me its same as one of those trumpets  of revelation  being blown          but in Joel 2 ;28       after all that    being to me the coming of Jesus Christ into the world     and  showing us Himself and dying so the new covenant      would begin    His reign     and  be fulfilled

I see Revelation  as the revealing of CHRIST    that opens the seals of all the books of the Lamb of God whom   was , is and will be  from the beginning
all the scriptures testify of Him        every   law and prophet testifies of Him and God declares it as so

"To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna."
The hidden manna refers to the 'Afikomen' tradition at the Passover Seder meal.

1) The leader of the Seder, generally the father, would open a linen bag with three unleavened bread wafers in it called 'matzah'.
2) He would remove the middle matzah and break it in half.
3) He would wrap the broken matzah in linen and hide it in the house during the course of the meal. This of course brings with it the imagery of the 'hidden manna', since this wafer (representing manna) would be hidden.
4) After the meal, the children would be turned loose to find this hidden manna (the 'Afikomen').
5) The one that found the Afikomen would receive a reward.
6) The 'middle matzah' or 'hidden manna' would then be shared with every member of the family.

Symbolizing the crucifixion of Christ and our salvation. The wafer represents the Lord who was broken, wrapped in linen, and hidden away in a tomb. And those who 'find' the Lord are rewarded with eternal life, a reality that will be shared by the entire Jewish family when "all Israel will be saved" in the last days.

Afikomen means 'dessert'  "I came".

A thought provoking topic.

Deu_8:3  And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD (Mat.4:4) doth man live.
Deu_8:16  Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;

Rev. 2:17 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the  churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden  manna to eat...

A promise to the Elect involves immeasurable understanding of the Hidden Manna. The word "hidden" is from the  Greek "krupto", which means "purposely kept secret".

The word "manna" refers to the bread from  heaven, which Jesus defines as Himself.

Joh 6:30  They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?
Joh 6:31  Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
Joh 6:32  Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
Joh 6:33  For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
Joh 6:34  Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
Joh 6:35  And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Only those who eat that manna can receive  eonian life (vss. 57-58). Jesus Christ is the true manna! He is also the Word of God, the One who reveals  God's purpose.

Hidden manna" can represent things which God will make known later when one  is resurrected into the Kingdom of God. Those called and chosen have already been given a  sampling of this manna:

1Co 2:9  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1Co 2:10  But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

We do not know everything. We do know much more than those not yet called, but there is so much  more to come at the Resurrection when Jesus Himself reveals those hidden things to us! There are things  which we are incapable of receiving at this time because we must be spirit in order to relate to them.

..we all need fresh manna from heaven? Jesus, the bread, the word, the wine.. Can't be "blown about by the wind.." (Jn 3:8) via stale inspiration, but it has to be new every morning..?

Manna, meaning "What is it" :o)

Fell in the wilderness

Old covenant, fading glory

Hidden manna "This is that"

Falling in the land of promise

New Covenant as well from Joel.:

Act 2:14  But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
Act 2:15  For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
Act 2:16  But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
Act 2:17  And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Act 2:18  And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
Act 2:19  And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
Act 2:20  The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
Act 2:21  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Most call upon the name of the Lord in times of  trouble   , when no help is  seen or known    , just being honest .

I have been reading in private     the signs of the two resurrections/harvests

The one of grain and the one of grapes   of wrath in Rev   14

the grain one is the easy one to explain   [ 1CORTH15]
and Jesus words on the harvests
heads  ripe harvest  John 4 ...34Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.

35"Do you not say, 'There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest '? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest.

36"Already he who reaps is receiving wages and is gathering fruit for life eternal; so that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together....

Blessed is he who is in the first resurrection  for the second death has no power / harm   , The seed is Christ , and faith in the Work of God   though the  Holy  Spirit    ..

The second   just may be the grapes of wrath in the  earth harvest     Joel 3   and  4    we can read about it as well as   Rev 14  the wickedness    has become ripe

complete /ready ,  this battle is to me being  still in Babylon [  receiving  Her plagues]     not resiting to sin the shedding of your blood ,,  because the flesh wants what it wants   when it wants it and seeks pleasure in unrighteousness  and flesh pleasing   and fleshly desires  run by wisdom of the world , with no clue to what  the Wisdom of God is or means   and what the Light of the world / Jesus exposing it is doing ..
So the Lord  comes   to battle with the SWORD OF HIS MOUTH /WORD OF GOD  that does judge us   ,  while we were yet sinners Christ died for us ..   against His enemies   ...    pride comes before the fall   , this trial  of  troubles  would squeeze the life   blood right out of you  and become as a dead man  and that is a good thing ..
Rev 14

the three angels  with the 3 woes     One has a sickle   the other is  the angel over the alter and fire   the other is the  son of man , seems to say the LORD HIMSELF

I KNOW  that in ISAIAH  63   It says its the LORD ALONE  this is excellent  as to the time when Jesus come in the fulness of time as  born of a woman under law  in the flesh to save and judge  in righteousness  , there was no earthly help  , if they had known they  would have fought  for  Him and with Him  , so the Kingdom of GOD is not of this world ,,

        REV 14 The Three Angels
6 Then I saw another angel flying ·high in the air [L in mid-heaven; 8:13]. He had the eternal ·Good News [Gospel] to preach to those who ·live [dwell] on earth—to every nation, tribe, language, and people. 7 He ·preached [L spoke] in a loud voice, "Fear God and give him ·praise [glory], because the ·time has come for God to judge all people [L hour of his judgment has come]. So worship God who made the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the springs of water."

8 Then the second angel followed the first angel and said, "·Ruined, ruined [L Fallen, fallen] is ·the great city of Babylon [L Babylon the Great; C the capital of the empire that destroyed Jerusalem in 586 bc, a symbol for the evil world system opposing God; 2 Kin. 24—25; Is. 21:9; Dan. 4:30]! She made all the nations drink the wine of the ·anger [or passion; C the Greek word thymos can mean either anger or passion; see v. 10 for a possible play on words] of her ·adultery [or sexual immorality]."
being unfaithful to God  and   becoming rich with the kings of the earth ,  worldly power & wisdom

9 Then a third angel followed the first two angels, saying in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his ·idol [image] and ·gets [receives; takes] the beast's ·mark [brand; stamp] on the forehead or on the hand, 10 that one also will drink the wine of God's anger [C perhaps a play on words with v. 8; Babylon's "passion" will bring on God's "wrath"], which is prepared ·with all its strength [undiluted; L unmixed; C wine was often mixed with water] in the cup of his anger [C God's judgment is often portrayed in the OT as a "cup" of wine poured out; Jer. 25:15–29]. And that person will be ·put in pain [tortured; tormented] with ·burning sulfur [L fire and sulfur] before the holy angels and the Lamb.

11 And the smoke from their ·burning pain [
torture; torment] will rise forever and ever. There will be no rest, day or night, for those who worship the beast and his ·idol [image] or who get the ·mark [brand; stamp] of his name."

12 This means ·God's holy people [T the saints] must ·be patient [persevere; endure]. They must ·obey [keep] God's commands and ·keep their faith in [remain faithful to] Jesus.

13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Write this: ·Blessed [or Happy] are the dead who die from now on in the Lord."

The Spirit says, "Yes, they will rest from their hard work, ·and the reward of all they have done stays with them [L for their deeds will follow them]."

The Harvest of the Earth
...18Then another angel, the one who has power over fire, came out from the altar; and he called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, "Put in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, because her grapes are ripe."

19So the angel swung his sickle to the earth and gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth, and threw them into the great wine press of the wrath of God.

20And the wine press was trodden outside the city, and blood came out from the wine press, up to the horses' bridles, for a distance of two hundred miles.
the gentiles  all nations  outside  rev 11    The Two Witnesses
1Then there was given me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, "Get up and measure the temple of God and the altar, and those who worship in it. 2"Leave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months. 3"And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth."
I see  in the troublesome times    of    crushing those    calling on the name of the LORD   WASHING THEIR GARMENTS  REV 22  Jesus is Coming
...13"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end."
washed their robes Praise from the Great Multitude
...13Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and where have they come from?" 14I said to him, "My lord, you know." And he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15"For this reason, they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them.
rev 7
14Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city. 15Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.

There's a line in a John Prine song ("Lake" something?) that says "We were standing standing by peaceful waters, you know what blood looks like in a black and white video? Shadow.."

And it made me think of the blood coming out of the winepress (Valley Hinnom/Armageddon) - wondering if John saw it from a distance, perhaps sort of black and white.. and I wondered if it was oil.. :dontknow: just a strange thought and wondering..

..the fire and sulphur.. thermonuclear @ armageddon? the 2 harvests.. the wheat into His barn - 1st resurrection/catching away/`rapture` but the tares gathered (to armageddon?) to be burned.. ("He comes with angels and in fire" 2 th 1:7,8; while the saints rise/go up/meet Him at His coming, the fire (man's results/thermonuclear?) 'comes down'

"outside the city" - such listed, in such condition, can never enter..

...the golden cup of her (city harlot's-"porno$") side effects.. the harlot, of which straying religion is a part of, but not the whole.. there being two cities.. New Jerusalem above which comes to Earth, and Babble On.. (Kind of like there's the two - the word and babble.. a narrow way and wide the ditches on either side)

In last days, gathered into His barn or to the collapse and burning, and, or to armageddon..

sorry..put on wrong thread.........

To me, this was the local application of the scripture.
[The description of the Temple is worth the read alone].

http://www.bible.ca/pre-destruction70AD-george-holford-1805AD.htm

"An Absolute and Irresistible Proof of the Divine Origin of Christianity: Including a Narrative of the Calamities which Befell the Jews, So Far as They Tend to Verify Our Lord's Predictions Relative to that Event. With a Brief Description of the City and Temple" - 1805 AD.

Act 2:16  "But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;"
"THIS" = what was happening then...

In my opinion, the more universal spiritual application will not be literal. It needs to be viewed in a different way with the mind of the spirit. In every generation there are wars, famines, plagues etc. The world must go through its full crucifixion before it is raised.

I believe that a positive march forward is a better, healthier idea for humanity - there are many challenges ahead. Explanations of Christ and His teachings which are unadulterated by the mind of man [because they are SPIRIT] are being prepared for humanity. I thank God. I now see why it is necessary.

"A few drops of blood renew the whole world, and become for all men that which rennet is for milk, uniting and drawing us into one". "Christ is like leaven for the entire mass, and having made that which was damned one with himself, frees the whole from damnation".
