Searching_For_The_Truth

This topic has been all over the news today and people on social media sites have been commenting that none of us should be surprised because this was all revealed in the Book of Revelation. What are your thoughts?

I think the skirmish they are thinking of doesn't happen yet.. but is part of the very last things which occur when the armies of the nations surround Israel.. that's my impression anyway...

When you see these things, go up on your rooftop. Don't go back downinto your house, and REJOICE! For you redemption draws near.

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.

The Logos is complete, but it is not completely understood. http://www.hell-is-a-myth.webs.com/

Marie, I looked at the brief chart you posted, at item #5, and I see that it is the very usual interpretation of Ezekiel 38.  Be aware:

Canaan/Palestine was never a waste from before the time of Abraham.

The term "mountains of Israel" refers to a land where the tribes of Israel will be living at that time, not to the mis-named Jewish-Occupied-Palestine, which named itself "Israel" in order to hijack the prophecy.

In fact, Ezekiel gives no indication that he recognized the physical country he was prophesying about - Gog and Magog are ID'd by name, on the other hand.

Few countries on the planet qualify as places where people live carelessly, and without bars or gates.  Certainly, no country in the Middle East qualifies.  Prophecies are exact, perfect, specific - they should not be bent to fit.

Even fewer countries are well known as having their people drawn from many nations.  If you have done your homework on the movements of the 12 tribes after their deportations, it would be child's play.

I think you may be misled.  Do you need more clues?  I am trying hard not to be bombastic...  :URWelcome:

Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

Bomb away.

I don't think that Jesus is coming back to take over by force.

Any interpretation of Revelation where "the wrath of the lamb" is Jesus actually killing people does not work in my faith.

That's something of think of as a sort of paradox. Only sort of because one side of the paradox is heavier than the other..?

Jesus "comes with mighty angels and in flaming fire.." yet, the fire (surely? / logically?) is the fire(s) of mankind's own doings! The nations having surrounded Jerusalem/Israel.. the nations gathered to the valley of Hinnom ('Armageddon') ultimately fighting against the "Prince of princes" (Dn 8:25)..

..it seems to me like the nations (will) blame Israel for the lack of 'world peace' (world peace w/o God) and in a demonically inspired craze gather against Israel.. who has in the meantime recognized her savior, for Jesus returns (midst the fire? or with the fire? :dontknow: ) when He has said to Jerusalem "you shall not see me again, until, you say `blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD`"..

"He comes with His angels and in flaming fire.." 2 Thessalonians 1:7(8) It almost, at times, seems cruel that God has allowed men's choices to run their course, but I guess that's to only see it from our own point of view. How nice tho that we are seated above it all! Seated above all principalities and powers and all these goings on, for we're seated with Him and He is seated at the right hand of the Father..

Somehow I think "He will tread the winepress" is metaphor.. but metaphor for some very real event/s.. the sword that comes out of His mouth.. surely is His word, the Truth, same iron (unbreakable) rod He shall rule the nations with.. Not a literal earthly sword.. A much more powerful sword than an earthly one!! Ultimately only truth can exist, right? I mean how can something untrue remain/endure? So perhaps the metaphors used to express that truth don't really 'matter'.. tho of course, chosen by God, they surely do matter!

I did actually look into that quite a few years ago.. When it comes to Israel, my understanding comes best from revelation chapter 12.

The woman with twelve stars around her head (twelve tribes) gives birth to a manchild (Son of man). The dragon (via Herod) tried to devour the child when He was born, but the child was caught up to God and His throne (where He now sits at the right hand of God, He 1:3) (the dragon does still try to devour baby Christ-ians)

The dragon is enraged at the woman so he pursues her (70a.d.) she ends up for a large part in Europe, a first migration of the faith - the mantle of the faith now for a time worn mainly by the church/body. (A sort of half replacement of Israel theory :laughing7: )

..then not til the last verse of the chapter, does the dragon fully direct his attention back to Earthly Israel. ("And the nations are gathered to Hinnom")

It's my belief when Nehemiah counted the tribes after the return to Israel, that all tribes were present.. that by time Cyrus' proclamation of "Let all israel in all my kingdom go home" the "kingdom" extended to Assyria where the ten tribes had been carried away to..

I believe i can see Bible prophecy concerning Israel lining up and being fulfilled, starting with the valley of dry bones.. after scattered among the nations that is..
