Marie, here's a link you might find interesting

I was thinking about what you said about "no escape" See what you think

I am always somewhat amazed and skeptical about "endtimes" messages and prophecies. Just like how the "apocalypse" is offered. :Chinscratch:
What does the Bible say about the "endtimes?"
Rev 22:13  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Well, prophecy is found all the way through the Bible and  the Prophets. (End times example)   21 Christian brothers were lined up on a sea shore and beheaded, by ISIS.

Just even a casual observation reveals a world in chaos, a dark and dangerous place where men are haters of God, and us. There was a time when I didn't pay much heed to Bible Prophecy but I certainly do now because it's IN MY FACE.

Please pray for those brethren in the Middle East and Nigeria who, as we speak, are being slaughtered.

if we are tempted and succomb to the sin, obviously we are not overcomers
"endtimes" are for the pressing of the overcomers to walk in kingdom mandate
originally fleeing to the wilderness was needed to separate oneself from the sin, spirit would come in more abundance after Jesus death
Being filled with the spirit of God will allow "those who God chooses" to overcome all sin
not everyone will overcome , so we are called to love one another and leave it at that

very interesting (and thanks! for posting it) though i did just start reading and am headed back to read the rest.. but just wanted to comment that I do from time to time think folks living in the big cities (especially) might do well to get out of them.. especially as i think the end times, $ity babylon - as in babble on and on - is our global economy (city) which embraced the spirit of harlotry (greek "pornos") to sell! sell! which is/has corrupted the earth/seven continents..

and the great hail.. well, think back to those images of nine eleven.. hail/debris?

p.s. - "come out of her my people so you do not share in her sins and thus in her plagues" cup of side effects..

wow, a lot of good points! but I do disagree with the idea that the end times babylon is the RCC or any other, and strongly disagree with the idea of sunday "worship" ("day of the Lord" Jesus, as opposed to YHVH's Sabbath, which was "made for man and man not for it") as being the mark of the beast.. after all the mark involves buying and selling, and beheading.. (the dove will confederate with the vulture!)

my husband mentioned to me not so long ago that perhaps one way to avoid the whole crashing of man's system and the following persectuion of 666, might be to just stay at home.. of course that would require some putting up of stores.. if not for one's self, perhaps for the sake of others later.. but I believe the whole 666 thing will 'only' last for 45 days, starting out as "cannot buy or sell" and escalating into "will be killed" for the last ten days (tribulation). not to say there won't be or isn't perilous times and plenty of tribulation of brothers and sisters right now.

I was never very good at problems b4 being saved, but Daniel 12:11,12 = 45 days seems not hard to decipher.
Ellen White wrote beautifully, though I've not finished any of her books or writings.. But also, every sect, every preacher, every believer has some things very right, and almost always have something strangely wrong..

Jesus did say "when you see the abomination set up, let Judea flee to the hills" was that only literal Judea, so persecuted an area in the middle east, or does that include the grafted into Israel ones too? It does make sense to run to the hills.. if only we had a very clear and concise signal, sooner than the abomination which desecrates.. If 70 a.d. had a 4 year pause, perhaps there's such a period for end times.. Daniel 12:11? (whatever that might be? which is likely one of two things - Israel has built the notorious 3rd temple and sacrifices (daily/perpetual/always occurring) are stopped, which I'm sure they would be.. or there will be the removal of that remaining wall in Jerusalem where prayers and praise are offered daily, even tho Jesus said "see all these? I tell you, not one stone shall remain upon another" (Mt 24:1,2).

I do have one book by Ellen White I do want to finish reading as her writing is so beautiful.. as she does weave in so very many scriptures..

hi Micah,  you've mentioned the idea of "apocalypse" not meaning collapse before, or so I've read it :) but to me, when/if man's empire collapses (having been built on sand) it is an "unveiling" of Truth.. even a great unveiling.. National and mini judgments of the past, telling the same story (and the same story in every person's life - can't build on sand, can't wander away from YHVH who is everything including life itself, the breath and spark of).. Same story climaxed at the 'end' when once again "mankind is one and nothing shall be beyond them".. my  :2c: anyway
City will touch city, town will touch town..
$ity Babylon will be all around.
(just a little clumsy rhyming) :laughing7:

I truly have to say I agree, too. It does surely seem to me these days to be very much "in our face".. and the Book of Revelation characters are out there in broad daylight, big as life and pretty as you please, as the old sayings go.. but not understood very well by the church/believers (too much yesteryear stuck in their heads?).. (which makes me a little crazy, but I'll get over it i guess)
