It's great to see the Tentmaker forums back in action. God Bless you all.

This makes Laz very happy!  Life has been too secular w/o the Tent.  This is like coming home after a long trip.  Now I can post my comments on I Samuel.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

It's been so long. Did the core issues get worked out?

I don't really know for sure, but Gary did say they were possibly switching servers.  Heard nothing since.  Just been watching like everyone else.  :)

Hi everyone,

We have turned the forum back on in the hopes that the changes the hosting company finally agreed on would handle the Tentmaker sites in a stable way.

The core issue is, I believe, a change they made in the configuration of the server when they replaced the hard drives. The troubles all started after that  hardware update.

If you've never prayed for the health of a web server before, maybe now would be an appropriate time.

Thank you for your patience. It has been a long ordeal with this server problem, and we are not sure it is over yet, since a couple of incidents in the last two days involved more generalized issues on the main server, which resulted in problems on Tentmaker's part of the server.

So, we will watch and see how things go.

Karen

Well I will be praying and hope my patience will gather more if needed. This small test of being away from friends is trying(at least to me), I am praying that a lot of my thoughts which I, considered to be pretty much solid, what ever they were, thanks to this absence may well have been disturbed. Other than that, I am very glad our communication hopefully is back on line. He Is Risen! :dsunny:

Praise His Name! I woke up, went to TM and said ahhhhhhhh your still here :dsunny: :happyclap: :happyclap: :trampoline:

But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.

I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Yep,this is really great to see. :-)  Think things got shut off on the 7th and back to going,on the 27? Wasn't easy, not being able to come here, read posts and post some myself. Well,my Mama did tell me once, that I was born talking! :-)

While Tentmaker forum was offline,I looked about and found several groups that I've posted some in. None though, that were Christian universalist in belief. Though some in those groups, might well believe that way?  And some,in some groups, that are just way off,on somethings. And I was on one group and accidentally clicked on a link,to a Muslim group. Well,I say accidentally;but it really wasn't. :-) And before this,I knew people who were Muslim, were my fellow human beings. But this blog, this lady has,as I read her words,I could see how she was and relate to her,as a fellow human being. And no,she didn't approve at all,of the recent murders in France. But what got to me more,is when she speaks about her son,who is autistic. Now there's something I have in common with her,as I have a younger 2nd cousin, who is severely autistic. This lady, she talked about her son,his health problems and how some things are so tough in this life. And the more she spoke about things like that, the better I could relate to her. :-) And that was a blessing, from God to me. :-)

Thanks Ronny

Very thought provoking.

Ultimately:

Gal_3:28  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

I think that is one of life's (our Father's) most valuable lessons which we learn over and over..
