Have any of   you  wondered about the   hidden manna  Jesus  offers to the   church of Pergamos  a s well as  a new white stone and a new name ?

and what it means     and also what is the meaning of wormy  day old manna ?

Is it  those not depending on the Lord   for daily  manna in the wilderness it would ruin and   become   useless  ?

manna  means ''what is it?  ''    and its was called angels food in Psalms 78

and Jesus is the   bread of heaven

I wonder if this Spiritual food    is time related ?
and Is for us to become spiritually     strengthened  as to being totally dependent on the Lords  help    daily  as feeding His children  ?

wondering about all this  ,  has anyone else looked in to   this before ?

Thanks in advance   :friendstu:

I'll look at it closer but can say now that a white stone in ancient courts had the meaning of not guilty.
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

"To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna."
The hidden manna refers to the 'Afikomen' tradition at the Passover Seder meal.

1) The leader of the Seder, generally the father, would open a linen bag with three unleavened bread wafers in it called 'matzah'.
2) He would remove the middle matzah and break it in half.
3) He would wrap the broken matzah in linen and hide it in the house during the course of the meal. This of course brings with it the imagery of the 'hidden manna', since this wafer (representing manna) would be hidden.
4) After the meal, the children would be turned loose to find this hidden manna (the 'Afikomen').
5) The one that found the Afikomen would receive a reward.
6) The 'middle matzah' or 'hidden manna' would then be shared with every member of the family.

Symbolizing the crucifixion of Christ and our salvation. The wafer represents the Lord who was broken, wrapped in linen, and hidden away in a tomb. And those who 'find' the Lord are rewarded with eternal life, a reality that will be shared by the entire Jewish family when "all Israel will be saved" in the last days.

Afikomen means 'dessert'  "I came".

  Wow Thanks Bro T
that was cool and did not know that !!
I agree  !!!      An  interesting  thing  when the  Israelite s ate manna in the wilderness  for 40 years
it seems when     Joshua  led them to the border of Canaan    and entered the Promised Land   the manna stopped

I am wondering if the promised   Land  is the BODY OF CHRIST      where the 30 and 60 and 100 fold   increase of God is   rewarded ?and its the new Name ?
Jesus Christ   name  was never   in the old testament but was well hidden , yet we seen Him as the Rock and Shepherd and many other places

the meek shall inherit the earth     Body of Christ ?     the bread of heaven ?[Matt5]
made me think of the  feasts of weeks  and harvest weeks  also ,  reaping   as  entering into the   laborer of others  sowing ?
  the  feasts  firsfruits

lots to look at in this  and its  kinda new to me
    Thanks Bro !!   :friendstu:

I have just come to realize a few things that are new to me and  thrilled of the discovery

"Who has an ear, let him hear what the spirit is saying to the ecclesias. To the one who is conquering, to him will I be giving of the hidden manna, and I shall be giving him a white pebble and on the pebble a new name written, of which no one is aware except the one who is obtaining it."(Revelation 2:17)

"Unless they worship the image of the wild beast they will not be able to obtain food, unless God gives it as He gave the manna. So the star-crowned woman will be nourished in the wilderness (12:14). Then they will pray as He taught them: "Our bread, our dole, be giving us today" (Mt. 6:11), for every other source is cut off.
The white pebble was used in allotting the land. Each man's name was written on a pebble, and these were put into a bag. As each allotment is called, a pebble is withdrawn. The allotment is given to the man whose name is on it. Thus the white pebble will be an earnest of their allotment in the kingdom. This is for Israel, not for the body of Christ." (Concordant Commentary pg.385-Revelation 2:17)

A thought provoking topic.

Deu_8:3  And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD (Mat.4:4) doth man live.
Deu_8:16  Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;

Rev. 2:17 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the  churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden  manna to eat...

A promise to the Elect involves immeasurable understanding of the Hidden Manna. The word "hidden" is from the  Greek "krupto", which means "purposely kept secret".

The word "manna" refers to the bread from  heaven, which Jesus defines as Himself.

Joh 6:30  They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?
Joh 6:31  Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
Joh 6:32  Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
Joh 6:33  For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
Joh 6:34  Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
Joh 6:35  And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Only those who eat that manna can receive  eonian life (vss. 57-58). Jesus Christ is the true manna! He is also the Word of God, the One who reveals  God's purpose.

Hidden manna" can represent things which God will make known later when one  is resurrected into the Kingdom of God. Those called and chosen have already been given a  sampling of this manna:

1Co 2:9  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1Co 2:10  But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

We do not know everything. We do know much more than those not yet called, but there is so much  more to come at the Resurrection when Jesus Himself reveals those hidden things to us! There are things  which we are incapable of receiving at this time because we must be spirit in order to relate to them.

2 Corinth 5
1For we know that surely this our bodily house * that is in The Earth will be destroyed;

but there is a building for us that is from God, a house which is not by the work of hands, in Heaven for eternity.

2For concerning this also we are made to groan, and we long to wear our house that is from Heaven,

3If also whenever we are clothed we shall not be found naked.

4For as we are now in this house, we are made to groan by its weight, and we do not want to strip it off, but to put on over it, that its mortality may be swallowed up by life.

5And he who prepares us for this is God; he it is who gives us the down payment* of his Spirit.

6Because we know therefore and we are convinced that as long as we dwell in the body, we are absent from Our Lord; 7For it is by faith that we walk and not by sight. 8Because of this we trust and we long to depart from the body and to be with Our Lord. 9We are diligent that, whether away from home or an inhabitant, we may be pleasing to him. 10For we are all going to stand before the judgment seat of The Messiah, that each man will be paid in his body anything that was done by him, whether of good or of evil.

11Therefore, because we know the awesomeness of Our Lord, we persuade the children of men, but we are revealed to God, and I hope also that we are revealed to your understanding.

12We do not praise ourselves again before you, but we give you an occasion that you may boast of us in the presence of those who are boasting in appearance and not in the heart.

13For if we are insane, it is for God, and if we are conventional, it is for you.

14For the love of The Messiah compels us to reason this: The One died in the place of every person; so then every person died with him.

15And he died in the place of every person, that those who live would not live for themselves, but for The One who died for their persons and arose.

16Now therefore, we do not know a person by the body, and if we have known The Messiah in the body, from now on we do not even know him so.

17All that is in The Messiah is therefore The New Creation; the old order has passed away to such.

18And everything has become new from God -- he who reconciled us to himself in The Messiah, and he has given us the Ministry of the reconciliation. 19For God was in The Messiah- he who reconciled the universe with his Majesty, and he has not accounted their sins to them and has placed in us our own message of the reconciliation.

20We are Ambassadors therefore in the place of The Messiah, and as if he who is God requested of you by us; in the place of The Messiah, we beseech you therefore: "Be reconciled to God." 21For he who had not known sin made himself to become sin in your place, that we would become the righteousness of God in him.

Actually His name is so badly hidden it can be argued it was not hidden at all.  I'm reading Psalms in a Hebraic Bible.  It uses the word salvation very often.  The verses don't just contantly hint toward Christ but the spellinhg of His name and salvation are almost identical. if

Of course, as I have pointed out before, the name of Jesus the Christ is written many times in the Old Testament.  It is just written in code.  We have the name of God "YHWH" or "YHVH," so often transliterated as "Yahweh," but if we look at the very ancient pictographic meanings of the letters, we get "Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand."  Most everything in your Bible points to Jesus the Christ.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

Never saw this explanation before for "Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand" derived from the YHVH. I knew that YHVH referred to Christ.

Made me think of Hebrews 10!!

1For The Written Law had a shadow in it of good things that were coming. It was not the essence of those matters; because of this, while they were offering those sacrifices every year, they could never perfect those who offered them.

2For if they had perfected them, doubtless, they would have ceased from their offerings, because their conscience would not have been buffeted by sin once they had themselves been purged;

3But by those sacrifices they remember their sins every year, 4For the blood of oxen and of yearling goats cannot purge sins.
5Because of this, when he entered the universe, he said, "Sacrifices and offerings you did not want, but you have clothed me with a body *",

6"And burnt peace-offerings for sins you have not demanded.

7And I said, 'Behold, I come', because in the beginning* of The Writings* it is written of me, 'to do your will, oh God.'"

8Above, he said, "Sacrifices and offerings and burnt peace offerings for sins you did not want", those that were offered were by The Written Law

. 9And afterward he said, "Behold, I have come to do your will, oh God." In this he abolishes the first to establish the second. 10For in this, his will, we are made holy in the offering of the body of Yeshua The Messiah, once.

11For every High Priest who has stood and served those with those sacrifices every day was offering those things which were never able to purge sins. 12But This One offered one sacrifice for the sake of sins, and he sat down at the right side of God for eternity.

13And he waits from then on until his enemies are put as a footstool under his feet, 14For by one offering he has perfected those who are sanctified by him for eternity

. 15But The Spirit of Holiness also testifies to us, who says:

16"This is the covenant that I shall give them after those days, says THE LORD JEHOVAH: I shall put my law into their minds, and I shall write it upon their hearts,

17And their evils and their sins I shall not remember."

18But where there is forgiveness of sins, no offering for sins is needed.

19Therefore brethren, we have boldness in the entrance of the holy place by the blood of Yeshua.

20And the way of The Life who made us new is now within the veil which is his flesh.

21And we have The High Priest over the house of God

. 22Let us approach therefore with a true heart and the confidence of faith, while our hearts are sprinkled and purified from a wicked conscience and having bathed our bodies in pure water

, 23And let us grasp firmly the confession of our hope and not waver, for he who has promised us is faithful. 24And let us pay attention to one another in the encouragement of love and of good works.

25And we should not be forsaking our meetings, as is the custom for each person, but plead with one another all the more, as long as you see that day drawing near.

Take Up Your Cross
23 Then He said to them all, "If anyone wants to come with[h] Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily,[i] and follow Me.

12 Watch out, brothers, so that there won't be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart that departs from the living God. 13 But encourage each other daily, while it is still called today, so that none of you is hardened by sin's deception. 14 For we have become companions of the Messiah if we hold firmly until the end the reality[c] that we had at the start. 15 As it is said:
Today, if you hear His voice,
do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.[d]

So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

I think the manna is time related in that it is "living and active". In the NOW of the I AM. The word is about being, primarily, so if we "abide/continue" in it, it sets us free"

"If you continue(abide/dwell) in my word you will be disciples(of me/like me/in me) indeed(in true reality/spirit & truth) and you will know the truth(I AM the way, the truth and the life) and the truth will set you FREE(into the glorious liberty of the children of God).

Yes He is coming again as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Question is has He already come into the Elect? I see scripture that says YES, and others I don't know for sure . It just seems that receiving an earnest of the Spirit is Him being here. Alive for evermore.

Absolutely. He is risen and we are in Christ and Christ is in us. The pledge of the Spirit is the "down-payment" on the purchased possession. The purchased possession is our adoption as sons- the redemption of our bodies- the fulness of God in us. Therfore....

He has come in us AND He is coming to us.

The whole creation eagerly awaits the revelation of the sons of God.

Eph 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery(Eph 1:9), which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God(Acts 3:20,21), who created all things by Jesus Christ:

10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God(Romans 11:32-36),

11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord(Eph 1:10-12, Romans 8:18-23, Rom 11:32-36)

Thanks Bro Joe and John
for those  building    blocks of  truth !!He that overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall by My son. Rev. 21:7

For me     the sonship  is a relationship   Father &Son     and being family   /a apart of   and the Ernst  of the Spirit is the teacher     for the lambs [ anyone  whom shall be written in the book of Life ] its the LAMBS BOOK OF LIFE
Feed my Lambs    ,,, born of the Spirit  and belong to the Spirit   is a lamb   and as it matures and becomes a sheep    we  know  Sheep   will always hear the Shepherd and be protected     and  kept as one in the number
for me the first   heaven and earth that pass away    is the Old covenant [a man born under the law  and  born of  woman ]       from servants to sons

For   me   Jesus Christ is the example   and pattern  of How God was going to  finish the work     what the law and prophets began         to bring in the new covenant     being the new heavens and earth

sons  of God are called Children of the Day     , THE DAY     not the night any longer   , that shows me that   we are not of the old heavens and earth any longer      [old covenant]night      where the moon/law  and stars/prophets       shine  in the darkness and  ignorance   of the world      but is   for the ones born again and new     as lambs /sons of God though the promise of the LIGHT  SHINING   IN JESUS CHRIST   THE DAY STAR /ANGEL MESSENGER  TO WHOM WE OBEY !!
I LOVE IT  ! THANK YOU JESUS!! :flowerred:
Jesus is the reward  !!

Eph 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

Yes who else can feed the sheep?

And BAAH are they hungry.

It takes a Holy Spirit filled Son of God to actually feed meat to a sheep.

As one of the sheep I appreciate that feeding me requires a lot of patience.

Sometimes one can only trust the food of a peace maker.
