Hello all,

My name is Leah and I have actually been coming to the tentmaker website for awhile but hadn't ever registered on the forums until now. I was directed to TM by my father who also believes in the salvation of all mankind. This site has been such a blessing and an eye opener to myself. From a young age, I had a hard time stomaching the doctrine of hell. When I finally prayed :Pray: and asked God to reveal the truth of this matter to me, I was pleasantly surprised at what I found.

Jesus Christ IS the savior of the entire world, not the potential savior. What sweet music to my ears!  :dsunny:

Just a little bit about myself. I'm half-a-century old, raised all my life in Southern California. My religious and cultural heritage upbringing is that of a Mexican-American Catholic, but I am not a Catholic. I'm what you may term a born-again Christian. I am non-denominational, and do not consider myself a universalist, however I do tend to agree somewhat in some areas with universalists. I'm here to learn and maybe participate in some discussions, however, please be gentle with me, as I am not by any means a studied person. Thank you.

Hey, welcome.  Born again is where it's at.  You should have no problems here.  All believers are at different places in our walk, none of us having yet attained.  You better believe we'll "be gentle" with you.  Most if not all of us at one point didn't believe (or even heard of) Christian, scripture-based, /cross-accomplished, Jesus-centered universal ultimate salvation, so don't worry.  God bless.

Welcome R.G. I'm an ex-Catholic too. I think it's church doctrine that's keeping you from realizing the truth of scripture that Christ's sacrifice on the cross was for the whole universe not just a few who belong to the church. The church has tried to hide that by torturing and killing folks just for reading scripture and by committing forgery in the translation of scripture to deceive folks with fear of being tortured in fire forever. The church did all that just to perpetuate its own worldly power, but the good news is that God is the savior of all mankind.

"we rely on the living God, Who is the Saviour of all mankind, especially of believers" (1 Timothy 4:10)

"through Him to reconcile all to Him (making peace through the blood of His cross), through Him, whether those on the earth or those in the heavens" (1 Colossians 1:20)

"Yet now Christ has been roused from among the dead, the Firstfruit of those who are reposing. For since, in fact, through a man came death, through a Man, also, comes the resurrection of the dead. For even as, in Adam, all are dying, thus also, in Christ, shall all be vivified. Yet each in his own class: the Firstfruit, Christ; thereupon those who are Christ's in His presence; thereafter the consummation, whenever He may be giving up the kingdom to His God and Father, whenever He should be nullifying all sovereignty and all authority and power.
