Hello from Norway

Hello, I'm Miranda :cloud9: I hope sharing this is OK, I have been keeping this inside for a long time and it was finally time to let it out. this is just a long story told short to introduce myself with how I got saved and why I am here.


since I was a kid I have always been asking what the meaning of life is.

growing up and facing the "real world" made me depressed and numb, and looking into what people call conspiracy theories about the bad things happening in this world didn't really help either. I took every problem on this planet on my shoulders, and it sucked the life and love out of me. I was careless, drunk, high, promiscious, mean and lost. I ended up in my own little world, dropped out of school and sat in my room every day just reading about everything I came over on the internet. I met people who felt like me and had gone through the same thing I was going through, and they started sharing all these sites and videos with me. I went to another town here in Norway to meet some of these new friends I met online that was so different from all the other people I knew. and so I was introduced to the New Age. for years I was deceived by it thinking it was the ultimate answer to the meaning of life, the answer I was looking for. that's until Jesus saved me not too long ago. I was heading down a dark road right before He came into my life. since then I have been set free from so many bondages that I have lost count. I feel free, safe, stable, whole, and I put my entire faith in my Lord. my life has changed completely for the past couple of months, and I have never felt this whole in my entire life.

I am reading the bible, listening to evangelists and Christians on youtube, reading books about subjects that relate to what's going on in the world, and so I hope to learn more from this forum as well. and hopefully make new friends. I don't have any friends that are saved in my town, and few that have faith in Jesus. and at times it can feel lonely not having many to talk to about Christianity, Jesus and what's going on in the world. but I know He is there with me at all times and I can always talk to Him, I am never lonely. and He guided me to this forum. how can I not trust Him? :winkgrin:

Welcome, Miraculous! May God continue to bless you with the truth of Jesus Christ. I have heard Norway is very atheistic (I grew up in England, which is much the same way), and so I hope this forum can feel like a family to you!

   I can relate with a lot of it. The Holy spirit in us groans at the great evil and suffering in the world...

   sometimes I feel I can't bear it either...at those times I withdraw from all the news and tragedy in the world

  to just He and I ..in a quiet place'.

   this 'phase' of our being..is the 'exercize in evil' and is but a first stage in our education...as those who shall

  inherit eternal life..  It isn't allfor nothing..a live and die..existence on earth...but a GREAT DIVINE PLAN TO

  RAISE UP ALL SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF GOD...into the incorruptible image of Christ[let us make man

Thank you Shev! Norway is indeed very atheistic :sigh:  luckily I'm half Italian and have family there, and Italy is much more spiritual than Norway.
