My Wife and I were over at my Son's house and we were discussing the Saving of All and how the church thinks and teaches. As we were speaking my son made a very profound saying and it really got the wheels turning in my head.

He made a statement something like this:

" Ya the church makes God the Father a DEAD BEAT DAD!!"

As I have thought on this for a few days it really struck me in a very profound way. We all know what a dead beat dad is. He does not take care of his children or supply their needs, ignores them and does not take the time to love them. He would rather just toss them aside and regrets that he ever conceived them and thinks," look at the mess I got myself into. Boy if I had that to do all over again!!" He then has to be forced by the courts to take care of his children.

Many scripture verses came to mind like He sends rain for the just as well as the unjust and makes the sun to shine on the just as well as the unjust. God is Love, Mercy endures Forever, gave Himself a ransom for all, Savior of all Men, made them all in unrighteousness that He may have mercy on ALL and the list goes on.

The church of man sees the Father as a dead beat dad and do not even realize it.They, like I was, could not see the verses right before their eyes or just choose to overlook them. They think that maybe those verses only apply to those saved.

Thanks be to the Father that he is not a dead beat dad and all He has created is and will be taken care of.He was not forced to do anything but did it willingly and said "It Is Good"

Comments welcome.

The church/Church is wrong on so many things because the focus of the church/Church is on the church/Church.  Every human organization goes through a certain process in which it becomes self-serving.  Perhaps James P. Hogan said it best, and in a science-fiction novel no less:

It seems a law of history for successful movements and empires to resist further change after the needs that had motivated them into promoting change had been satisfied.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.
