going to heaven

what is the requirement for going to heaven if everyone is going their anyway? how can I witness to a person on how to get to heaven when they are going there anyway? if a person asks me how they can go to heaven ,what can I say?

Going to heaven is an every day experience.  We go to the unseen in faith.   We believe that heaven is within us.  Entering into the kingdom is walking with Jesus Christ.  The future is not talked about as going to heaven.  It is talked about as "the resurrection".  All will be raised.  The process that takes place after the raising is often what is debated.

Just my way of thinking.  Whenever I read heaven in the Bible, I think it is talking about a present spiritual reality.

Hello Cranny,

One can witness that Jesus Christ has made atonement for the sins of the entire world, and everyone is going to eventually be formed into His image, as all things become subject to Him. Being formed into His image is not an easy, painless thing, but an uncomfortable, difficult process that has a high cost, as our ego and carnality is destroyed by His cleansing fire within.

One thing I would be bold to always state is that the good news is about Jesus Christ, and it is good to always keep the focus on Him, and what He has done and is doing, rather than the individual person. We don't witness "where we are going", but "who we are becoming"...

Everybody will eventually go to heaven.  But why go in a hundred or a thousand years (cause of the corrective lake of fire), when you can go now?  Plus, as stated in another post, the lake of fire is terrible.  We should warn others, so they avoid it.

Everyone will eventually be reconciled to God. I personally think that as regards the lake of fire, time may not be an issue- I rather think it is about intensity and may be over in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. After all, how long does it take to cut off a hand or pluck out and eye? Not long, if the right tools are used. The light/fire of God("God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all";Our God is a consuming fire")
is the right tool for "bringing every hidden thing to light". :o)

Heaven is not a place we can go to in the here-and-now.  The journey there lies more in time, as we wait on the Lord.  The journey lies even more in becoming conformed to Christ.

I see the Kingdom of Heaven as more like the JW vision of it than the harp-on-a-cloud version.
