What "is" LATTER rain?

In keeping with my thoughts on "latter RAIN."  I

noticed a few things I wanted to run by yall.



It is something that the LORD has "patience" for.

He waits for the latter rain!  Isn't that something?

It has to do with end time stuff because in James

it says "Be patient, has to do with stuff about JOB,

cause it mentions him there......"be patient for the

Lord "waits" for the precious fruit of the earth, and

has long patience for it, until He receives the early

and LATTER RAIN."



Now in that same chapter, it speaks of ELIJAH having been a man of like passions, one just like

us, and he PRAYED AGAIN........after that 3 l/2 year

of NO RAIN, and it RAINED again. So sounds like

that would be the LATTER.  It brought forth

something called the fruit of the earth.  What God

was having long patience for. 



This latter rain is a good rain.  Does good things,

looks like. 



I could not help but notice that the two witnesses

over in Revelation also had POWER to shut UP heaven that it RAIN not, in the days of their prophecy. 



So I am seeing there is "some good things" to look

forward to in the LATTER RAIN.  I have heard of

latter rain all my life in churches, but these scriptures intrique me. 



In Hosea, "if" we follow on to "know" the Lord,

his going forth is prepared as the morning, and He

shall come to us as the RAIN, as the LATTER RAIN

........." That is where it describes the three day

concept.  In the 10th chapter of Hosea, we read

"til He come and RAIN righteousness upon you."

Putting this together with what is written in the New

Testament "we WAIT for the HOPE of Righteousness." I know we are the righteousness of

God in the earth, but sounds like that "righteousness" is going to "do" something.



There in James when it describes Elijah praying

and the heaven giving RAIN, then it says "blessed

is he that "converts" one from error, hiding a

multitude of sins, etc."  Is "that' part of the rain?

If so, sounds like "believing" for another, right?'

So that'd be trust in God alone?



I found a scripture in Job that is interesting.  The

one where God talks of His Greatness and Job's

inability to "do" things.  Like poor ole Job is being

told "to" do what he could not.  So it'd have to be

trusting God to do it thru him.  Right?  The scripture

I found was "who maketh it RAIN where NO MAN is."

Where no man is, where there is not even a ministry?  What for? To satisfy the desolate land!!

How wonderful! is He!



There is a "time" for LATTER RAIN. I saw that in Joel

2:23 and it is "the LATTER RAIN in the first month."

So now, have to look up first month.  ha OK, put

that together with "Ask the Lord for RAIN in the "time" of latter rain.  So need to understand that

about the "time" here.



Jeremiah 5 says we should say "Let us NOW fear

the Lord who gives us later rain in the appointed '

weeks."  And Jere. 51, says "WHEN "He" utters

HIS Voice, heaven and earth stand up together,and

there is a MULTITUDE of waters," .............???



Solomon of course says "the RAIN is over and gone"

speaking to the one who is become His beloved.



Isa 30 speaks of the RAIN of thy seed.......SEED.

And we know what that SEED is, it is Truth.  It is

HIM.  So, yes, it is a work of Spirit.  No doubt God

was telling Job he could NOT do this, but that HE

could. 



When the woman gave her last meal to the prophet

Elijah, thinking she was bout to die, with her son,

it was written and spoken by him "YOU will have

meal and oil UNTIL the DAY that the LORD "RAINS"

on the earth! 



And then when it did rain, Elijah was told to "go show himself to Abab!" Of course, he had some

adversaries to contend with.  And when Ahab met

up with him, the first thing out of his mouth was

"Hast thou FOUND me, Oh, my enemy?" which brings me back to when they were so mad at Jesus

wanting to cast him headlong down the brow of the

hill.  Why?   and I see Jesus had been speaking of

Elijah and the 3 l/2 years when only one woman had

been visited during that shut up period. 



Well, the Word and the Spirit are always the same,

yesterday, today, and tomorrow. 



I am seeing a pattern here all thru the Bible.



Esp. that about "praying again" .....compare that

with JOEL where people are told to pray and "then"

the Lord would do exploits. Of course, we can't even

pray I don't think the way the Lord means there, unless He gives us the prayer.  But in the meantime,

He is sowing His word in our hearts. Yes, Lord.
