Shalom! I saw a post from someone, entitled "Torah observant, but I was not able to reply for some reason. The person mentioned that he was getting in touch with his Hebrew roots! I read the page and I have to say I strongly disagree with its conclusions. Those who walk by the Spirit are not just "free from the penalty" imposed by the Law (ie having to sacrifice thier potentially valuable sheep continually), he said they were free from the Law itself. He clearly declared circumcision obsolete in Galatians, not just the penalty for abstaining from circumcision, for example. There is no penalty under the New Covenant - whatsoever - for not setting aside the Saturday Sabbath, and therefore it's observance is obsolete as a requirement for the believer.

God's grace and His Law are two sides of the same coin. The Law defines our expected behavior, and God's grace provides forgiveness when we don't live up to that standard. Grace doesn't nullify the Law, it compliments it. Clearly, those who think they can be part of God's people without obedience to His Law are deceived.

Been in this sectarian argument for a while.  The two sides are both convinced that they are right.  I like the analogy of gates to Jesus Christ.  The gates are on the perimeter.  The gates are separated from one another.  The gate builders work hard on their way to Christ.  They get very tired working on the gate and it is cold tedious work.  Many gates all leading to the same place............Jesus Christ in the center.  We all meet there in the center and have fellowship.  If we are pointing at the Gate rather then the center, the gates will continue to be used to keep people out rather then let them in.  Personally I jump over the wall to get to Jesus Christ in the center.  In the center I fellowship with the gate workers in the perfection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

That is as far as I have gotten with it.

Stick around and have the debate about the gate.  We are all heading to the same place!

a wall. With bitterness archers attacked him,they shot at him with hostility.  Gen 49;2-26.....surely

  Jesus fulfilled this...overcoming the wall of seperation..from his brother's through forgiveness...love and

become a sustainer of Israel.

I was thinking about      what law according to the SPIRIT OF GOD    how we keep it  Jesus sums it up beautifully      here !!  take my yoke upon you all those who are heavy ladden  and I shall give you REST!!      Learn of Me !!
   and thought    what    confused those to silence     when Jesus answered  ,   how is David His son ?    By   and  though many sons of glory born again     though Jesus Christ  , Jesus was always there only hidden   and its in His own nature to obey  the law of God as we also are  born again sons of God to HIS OWN GLORY !!!    Praise God  !!   am not ashamed to    proclaim the gospel  of Jesus Christ !!   

The Greatest Commandment

34Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:

36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"
