Hi there,

I'm from a UR background but I still have trouble following through with UR consequently. I feel this is especially true for me when I encounter other christians that argue against UR. I get into literal angst then that I carry with me throughout the rest of the day and sometimes for days afterwards. I am often in a fear of being judged by God and when I have sinned in some way (eg masturbation), then I get into much torment and hear evil voices talk to me. I know that I must not be cheap and try not to sin, but this is really involuntary, for example I get nasty thoughts when I meet other people, even in church services this happens to me. How can I get to have this fabled peace of God? I have schizophrenia so some of this is probably the result of my disease, but I feel like it could also be a demon. How do you combat evil spirits and get them to leave? I don't engage in anything occult. I smoke cigarettes but they relieve me so I don't want to leave them aside. I live in a group home now and sometimes it's not easy, just spent a month in the hospital again and they gave me new medicines but half of the day I'm depressed or angsty. Sometimes I wish I had never heard of christianity even, my life sucks so much.

God bless you!

Daniel

I can not speak for myself anti_, but I have seen what I am about to tell you, help

First off, have a cold (not hot) shower and wash the negative energy away (Perhaps the cold on the top of your head changes moods) It works.

Then find a quiet place and just be still.  Listen not to your mind, but to something much deeper. In a sense, give yourself away. Let go of everything. Soft relaxing music helps me, but everyone is different.

The mind can be a terrible thing. I once had severe depression and suffered from it for many years. It's not easy and schizophrenia just sucks.
