Isaiah 26:20
Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut the doors about thee; HIDE thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

Ps 31:20
Thou shalt HIDE them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man:  thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

Ps 143:9
Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies:  I flee unto thee to HIDE me.

Ps 57:1
Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me:  for my soul trusteth in thee:  yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I HIDE, until these calamities be overpast.

Ps 27:5
For in the time of trouble he shall HIDE me in his pavilion:  in the secret of his tabernacle shall he HIDE me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

the result of faithful obedience is assurance of security.  When trouble comes like a flood, they cannot reach the tranquil worshipper.  He is calm in the recesses of his Lord's presence.  He stands high upon a rock.  That rock is Christ.

Before the cross:  physical hiding/physical enemies = physical reality
After the cross:  hid in Christ=spiritual truth

For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

Thanks Anna.

and thank you, Lomarah,  for providing yet another beautiful scripture re: hid in Christ.  Actually this is one of my favorites and needs to be part of my growing list of IN CHRIST verses.
