One of the first things we are told is that we were created in Fathers and Christ's image "our."

We learn early that Father is both LOVE and SPIRIT. We likely learned our own-selves that we need to be Loved and just importantly to give Love. Now there are many different types of Love, but I am talking here is the Love parents (hopefully) have for their children and the children for the parents. Young children need this LOVE that is laced in trust and faith as well as security and peace.

The same Love that Father has for all of us and all his children.

Who knows what really happened in the garden of Eden. It would seem that we lost our SPIRITUALITY, our full on connection with Father and all Spiritual Heavenly beings.

Paul has told us that everyone of us was created in and through Christ, Fathers only Begotten Son, that EVERYTHING that is, has come through Christ, that Christ is the foundation of every human that has ever lived.

1Cr 3:11
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

So are their two Julie's, a higher Spiritual one and a lower physical one that was born into sin?

I ask this with the following understanding. Jesus Christ was in existence for perhaps multiple eons before the known universe was created, yet he came to Earth as a human albeit a perfect human. Were not Adam and Eve perfect also? There is a definite connection here. Adam and Eve were made in Fathers image and lost something when they ate of the apple.

It would seem that the Spirit that they perfectly at ease with, was taken away, but not totally. They were told that they would die and suffer pain, sickness even. Yet we were not told that their bodies were changed and it would be a stretch thinking that they were. Adam and Eve were alone, dare I say feeling much the same way most of us have felt more than once. Missing or deeply longing for something but having no real idea of what?

Jesus came to Earth to save us from the depravity in which we have become. Satan, seeing our need today acts on it in the same manner as was acted out in the garden. This fits with the Scripture that tells us that there is NOTHING new under the Sun. Jesus died for our sins and proved without question that death of the body does not mean the death of the Spirit.

We are told that Jesus gave up all that he was when he came to the Earth. He was human, could it not be possible that we here on the physical plain have a spiritual higher form that we are apart from. What did Jesus teach? He taught to Love Father with EVERYTHING we are, to TRUST without question and to have Faith enough to move a mountain. We don't, but he did.

Why? Because he was able to connect with the Spirit of Love and Truth, he was able to do amazing feats but claimed none of it for himself but gave Father thanks for everything. He told us that we could all of what he did and more, he told us to be perfect as He and Father is perfect.

How could or can we possibly do this? By doing exactly what Jesus did. Jesus taught us how to do it, He told us that Fathers Kingdom is within (the foundation of which is Christ himself) and that to perform the miracles like Jesus the man, all we have to do is bridge the gap from the physical to the Spiritual, to bridge the gap to the spiritual person we truly are, the spirit that is waiting for us to return. (Jesus the man left Jesus the Christ behind) Jesus the man, died a man, but returned as hybrid (for want of a better term) that was able to manifest instantly and in different forms at different times.

I believe that Jesus the Man connected 100% with Jesus the Spirit and this connection was fused into one when he died. I believe that the same thing will ultimately happen when each of us die. Certainly Scriptures indicate a period of time before this happens, a good cleansing for many will have to take place first.

I present all of this as Father has been very active in my little life these past few months and I feel a wonderful, loving connection to a higher me. Something impossible to explain or prove; Father just asks me to trust and love. This sounds totally reasonable and is 100% Scriptural. Yes, we are told the body will die, but will the Spirit that we left behind? I do not believe so.

I think there is one Julie, a living soul, who will someday be immortalized in a spiritual body.

I believe death is a return. The body returns to the soil, the soul to the unseen, and the spirit to God.

I believe spirit is the power of life.

I love this Tom and agree and the scriptures confirm it as True

I try to stay faithful to the scriptures  , but also I do not want to be ''a scribe ''  just a reader of the Word , Jesus had plenty   to say about that  and not a good ''sign '' either
So I find  a stuggle  , trying to do the ''right  thing ''
and dont want this to fall on the wisdom of man , but in Christ the Wisdom of God
I consider a soul    our earthly lives down here and now  , run by the seat of emotions that do drive us to act on thoughts  ,  when Adam ate of the tree of Knowledge of good and evil , he was given a death sentence   for trespass  , the Day you eat you will die

Jesus come to fulfill  all the old  Testament  prophecies      . because Jesus Christ testimony is the ''Spirit of Prophecy''   we are to have His   testimony /witness    in us     , we see this in Revelations /unveiling   often

1Cr 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

1Cr 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Jesus is the reward  !!

Tom

I believe the soul is the sensation or conscious experience resulting from the combination of an organic body with breath or spirit.

"And forming is Yahweh Elohim the human of soil from the ground, and He is blowing into his nostrils the breath of the living, and becoming is the human a living soul." (Genesis 2:7)

You get the K.I.S.S. award:  Kept It* Scripturally Simple       * Truth

At this point, I have developed no strong opinion regarding what the soul, body, spirit are...

Thank you all for your wonderful input. I am but a small light flickerig in the storm of life, but day by day, I see that I am the creator of mine own turmoil. Father is the bringer of all peace and well being and when I reliquish all my fears and hurts, I shine brighter and flicker less. Father awaits patiently for all his children to return to him shinning brighter than any star.

I ask this is, what could hell offer that we who hold ourselves back from all that Father has for us, don't aready have? Paul spoke of this pain, knowing that what he tried to do, he simply could not.

I know the feeling Julie. I find myself feeling weak and worthless at times, overwhelmed by the pressures of this life. It is only when I turn to God I feel true peace and an escape from all the pressures and expectations people put on me or I put on myself. I'm definitely a work in progress who struggles mightily in many areas, but I know that when I am weak, I am strong, and God is working to instill positive changes in me.
