This is priceless to me as I have long believed that Father is in all of his Children. YAY!!!!!  :dsunny:

1 John 4:4
Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

It doesn't matter that they have "less" just that they HAVE Father and he Them!!!  :HeartThrob:

Hi Julie. Please look at the context of the verse, who the Holy Spirit through John was talking to, and what were the conditions..I agree, He is in His children.  But who are His children?  What do the scriptures around the one verse say?  It's a "hard saying", hard to accept, yet worthy of acceptance;  for one thing, it says some are actually the children of the devil..

I John 2:23  No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. 24 Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that he made to us...

I John 3:1  See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we [the spiritually reborn, not everyone] should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Beloved, we are God's children now [not always, now)..no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him.  Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil... 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God,

I John 4:1-6  Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. 4 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

For by grace are you saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves.  It is the gift of God.

Yes of course context. Thanks James  :HeartThrob:

Everything you state is true, and I hope I did not give the impression that they even knew or accept the fact the fact that Father is indeed "in" them. Kind of like my discovery that I was an O+ Blood type. I always believed i was a type A. All of my beliefs cam tumbling down when I took the test and proved otherwise.

John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Father may be "in" them as a tiny still voice or a little flame of truth, but it isn't until Jesus himself opens himself up that the veils begin to lift.

I am totally okay with this. To whom much is given, much is expected. It doesn't matter, Father is in them enough which is SO MUCH BETTER than not at all.

Besides this is even more reason to LOVE THEM!!!!!!!  :HeartThrob: :HeartThrob: :HeartThrob:

Thank you Father!!!!

Love Julie :HeartThrob:

:)  Thanks for that input, Julie.

It gets into a very interesting discussion, doesn't it?  I know there's a scripture about "the light that lights every man"..I personally think that may have to do with God's "spark of life" He's breathed into mankind, and that in some sense there's no place where God doesn't exist to one degree or another.  While in another sense, He fills us when He gives us faith to believe on Him as Savior.  THEN, even more infillings of His Presence in terms of the Holy Spirit's "times of visitation".  It gets pretty deep and has many layers - probably little of which I fully understand.   :2c:    :icon_flower:

Jab, I believe you have it correct, "He's breathed into mankind, and that in some sense there's no place where God doesn't exist to one degree or another."
HE IS in all His children(sons) there are just some who He has not brought in YET.
Eph 2:2  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children(sons) of disobedience:
Eph 5:6  Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children(sons) of disobedience.
Col 3:6  For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children(sons) of disobedience:
So I would say Julie's is correct in her joy.

Maybe you guys are all too deep for me but I don't understand what 'in the Father' or the 'Father in us' means other than a closer relationship than just having Him as our Father. But at least He is the Father of everyone and we are all His children and He is responsible for taking care of his family like any good father.

I like in Acts 17:26-29.
26. and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation,
27. that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;
28. for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your poets have said, 'For we also are His children'.
29. Being then the children of God,---here Paul agrees that they are children of God even though they don't know God at all and have an alter to 'the unknown God'.

Oh yah, and Julie, I definitely love your enthusiasm and the way you speak from your heart. And most everyone else on the forum too.
