My grandmother is near death

She was sick in these last years but recently it got worse, and now the doctors say she has small chances of surviving.

She always was so kind to me, treated me like her own son, or even better. She is a very loving person. I am assured that I'll see her again, but I wish she was around to see me have a family of my own.

She will always love you and I believe will be closer than ever before. Do borne sad as she is going home to our Father.

I am deeply sorry to hear about this Eduard. I pray that the Lord will help and comfort your grandmother, yourself, and the rest of your family in this difficult time.

We miss family when they leave us and there is no more comfort, that comfort we had when we visited to talk and make ourselves happy in that company. Death is only the vehicle that brings us all closer to a blessed destination.

His Word is a Truth and Knowing is a comfort. These may seem words without comfort, but when my mother died 4 years ago, I quietly considered them. :HeartThrob: :dsunny:
Ecc 12:5  Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:

That's hard Eduard. My Grampy died the very summer I got pregnant with my first child, a little girl, who my Grammy still keeps saying Grampy would've loved and adored (he would've).

I hope you can find much comfort in the arms of Father and the true hope. What a reunion there will be when it's all said and done!  :HeartThrob:

It would seem that my avatar is totally out of place in this discussion, though perhaps not. My beautiful wife of 17 yrs went home just over a year ago. I miss her very much but am ever much more grateful for having shared part of my life with her.

Death is not the end, merely the beginning of something better. I hope you can take comfort in tha Eduard.

She passed away just today.


All i can do now is find comfort in the Scriptures that say that there will be no more death, sorrow and tears... :sigh:

Dear Eduard,

There is never the right time for someone to go and I know from experience how one misses the physical presence even with a belief in life after physical death.

But please remember that a bond of Love, being of the Source of Love, God, cannot be broken and it is stronger than any words or doubts.

Just as the bond of love between you was no less when in different cities or countries, so that bond is no less now that your dear one has been born into the Spirit in very truth - indeed, that bond is even stronger.

This verse has been a comfort to me: "...our Lord Jesus Christ, who did die for us, that whether we wake--whether we sleep--together we may live with Him; for that reason, comfort you one another" 1 Thes. 5:10-11.

I also like a what Richard Rhor (sp?) wrote (paraphrased)--we do the best we can while we are here, till we no longer have to.
