the baptist and the bishop

A texas baptist visited the vatican and met with an old friend that had become a bishop.
The Bishop informed the baptist that there was a phone line with a direct line to God right there in the vatican.
The texan was curious and sure enough, there was a phoneline to God. He picked up the phone and the operator said, "deposit $100. for the first three minutes, please."
The Baptist hung up without paying and told the bishop that he needed to visit him at his ranch in Texas.
One day the bishop actually came for a visit and the texan said, "See that phone in the Parlor? We have a direct line to God here too.
The bishop picked up the phone and heard a voice say, "Speak - I'm listening"
The bishop was shocked and was too surprised to speak.
He hung up the phone and said, how come there's no charge here and we have to pay $100. for each 3 minutes?
The texan smiled and said, "Here when we talk to God, it's a local call." :Peace2: :Peace2:
