Does anyone know   what the hour of temptation is ?
Jesus promises to keep those in the church of Philidephia   from this hour of temptation , seems thats the only ones exempt from the hour the whole world will experience ?

what do you guys think this means'' by keeping  the word of His patience ''?

Rev 3:10   Because you  have  kept the word of my patience, I also will keepyou from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

21 In that same hour He[e] rejoiced in the Holy[f] Spirit and said, "I praise[g] You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and the learned and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, because this was Your good pleasure.[h] 22 All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son desires[j] to reveal Him."
23 Then turning to His disciples He said privately, "The eyes that see the things you see are blessed! 24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see the things you see yet didn't see them; to hear the things you hear yet didn't hear them."

So when they arrest you and hand you over, don't worry beforehand what you will say. On the contrary, whatever is given to you in that hour—say it. For it isn't you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

This an opinion
I think the hour of temptation has something to do with day dreaming or imagining the Holy Spirit
using us in away that is miraculous and gives confidence that the power of God is at our disposal.

Where as Jesus said that the marvelous and wonderful thing was having our name written in the book of live.

We seem to be fixated on making or self's a landing strip for the Spirit of God.
always trying to keep the run way clear, as other people keep messing it up.

  Thanks Dajo  !!

found this too  :Chinscratch: ,  our protecter Keeping us in Him  His graces  and not under the Law , being ministration of    death ,  But  new Life in Him

2 Peter 2:9
New American Standard Bible (NASB)

9 then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,

Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some, letters of commendation to you or from you?

2Cr 3:2 You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men;

2Cr 3:3 being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, [fn]cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of [fn]human hearts.

2Cr 3:4 Such confidence we have through Christ toward God.

2Cr 3:5 Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God,

2Cr 3:6 who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
2Cr 3:7 But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came [fn]with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was,

2Cr 3:8 how will the ministry of the Spirit fail to be even more with glory?

2Cr 3:9 For if the ministry of condemnation has glory, much more does the ministry of righteousness abound in glory.
2Cr 3:10 For indeed what had glory, in this case has no glory because of the glory that surpasses it.

2Cr 3:11 For if that which fades away was [fn]with glory, much more that which remains is in glory.

2Cr 3:12 Therefore having such a hope, we use great boldness in our speech,

2Cr 3:13 and are not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face so that the sons of Israel would not look intently at the end of what was fading away.

2Cr 3:14 But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil [fn]remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ.

2Cr 3:15 But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart;

2Cr 3:16 but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away

2Cr 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

2Cr 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.

I used to be very free and easy going, live and let live.
I distained people who saw sin or talked about sin.
I thought most people were basically the same .
There were a minority of really bad people,
counter balanced by a minority of really good people.

Then I met the lord and thought great now he was going to make me one of the really good people.
Then I started getting disgusted by all the sin I saw in myself.
As I worked toward getting rid of the sin in my life I started seeing fewer and fewer really good people .

I turned out to be a complete failure at getting the sin out of my life.
I submitted to the grace of Jesus as taught to me by the Holy Spirit .
I found Love or should I say Love found me.

Now I am very free and easy going live and let LOVE.
I really enjoy reading the Bible and having discussions, even though my flesh is fearful some times .
My spirit is growing as the Holy spirit reveals that it is all about the love God has for his creation.

   Beautiful    :HeartThrob:
Love / God is always the answer   THE Spirit of Christ comes to dwell in our flesh  and God declares this  :HeartThrob:

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

1Jo 4:2   Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

1Jo 4:3   And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

1Jo 4:4   Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1Jo 4:5   They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world hears them.

1Jo 4:6   We are of God: he that knows God hears us; he that is not of God hears us  not .. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

1Jo 4:7  Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God.

1Jo 4:8   He that loves not knows not God; for God is love.

1Jo 4:9   In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

1Jo 4:10   Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins.

1Jo 4:11   Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

1Jo 4:12  No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and his love is perfected in us.

1Jo 4:13   Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
1Jo 4:14   And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son [to be] the Saviour of the world.
1Jo 4:15   Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him, and he in God.

1Jo 4:16   And we have known and believed the love that God has to us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him.

1Jo 4:17  Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world

1Jo 4:18  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.

1Jo 4:19   We love him, because he first loved us.

1Jo 4:20  If a man say, I love God, and hates  his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he has  not seen?

1Jo 4:21   And this commandment have we from him, That he who loves  God love his brother also.

Love His Word and Spirit and you my brother in Christ  :HeartThrob:   in His Love to all  the family of God
