I think ET'ers don't think.
They don't really think about the full implications of what they believe.
They don't really think God is a just God.
They don't really think God is love.
They don't really think about the nonsense in the concept of hell.
They don't really think about the big picture of God's plan for his creation.
They don't really think God will care about anyone who does not believe.
They don't really think God will care about anyone who never heard the gospel.
They don't really think God will be victorious over sin and death.
They don't really think the translators of the scriptures made any errors in any versions of the Bible.
They don't really think they can understand the overall plan for God's creation until they get to heaven.
They don't really think there is anything wrong with their doctrine at all.
They don't really think God's teaching is enough, so they need the teachings of man in addition.
They don't really think anyone who differs in doctrine from them is going the heaven.
They don't really think they themselves deserve hell.
They really do think other people deserve hell.
They only think they think.
They don't really think.

The eternal torment doctrine is a trap.
It blinds people to the truth of the Gospel of Victory.
They don't want to let go of it, and don't know they need to escape.
It is extremely difficult to escape from, if not impossible.
But we know that with God all things are possible.
This is where we who have escaped see the meaning of that scripture.
The fear factor is the basis of the whole ET doctrine.
ET'ers are afraid to believe, and afraid not to.
They are afraid to leave it behind.
Some of the less fearful souls will leave religion altogether because they are discouraged.
Even many believers in Jesus, who should have nothing to fear, still fear hell.
They are afraid that somehow they may have missed some key ingredient of salvation.
They fear they will go to hell anyway.
The ET doctrine is very difficult for humans to cope with.
But Jesus said in Matthew 11:30, "For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

I suppose ET'ism really is something of a cult.
