Is Tentmaker the only www forum you post on?  Probably not.  I post on a bunch, four audio forums, one bicycle forum, one conspiracy forum, and one other UR forum.  Besides the conspiracy forum, the most negative forum environment I can recall was the (now non-functional) Trollheim sub-forum at the bicycle site.  The most friendly (more friendly than here, believe it or not) was the official Harley-Davidson forum.  Somehow, that doesn't quite track, but bicycle folks are a peevish lot, for whatever reason.

Be that as it may, I think I keep my audio stuff over at the audio forums, the bike stuff at the bike forum, and the conspiracy stuff over at ATS, though I do argue Hell/404 and UR over at the relevant ATS sub-forum.  In the other direction, we don't need to drag our pet theories here unless it bears on the main subject(s) of Tentmaker:  God, Jesus, the Gospel (true & false), and UR in all its facets.  I have been guilty too, and have participated in threads which degenerated into babblefields.  We need to do better.

One of the audio sites I frequent is Audiokarma, and their motto/tagline is:  "All Audio, No Attitude," and I think it is a good rule, strictly enforced, BTW.

Comments?
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

No problem if things wander a little.  Sometimes one thought leads to another, and good things can come out of that.  As for the overall focus of TM, IMO, we just don't need to get into a rut/continuous direction of majoring on the minors.  For the most part we do "OK".  :)
The oldest known manuscripts agree with each other 99% of the time.  The scriptures, accurately translated, Spirit revealed - reliable.   Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.  Heb. 12:2
