IMO, hell as described by the orthodox church is impossible.
Our bodies feel pain when there is some form of decay. Cuts, bruises, burns, etc.
we have pain receptors to protect us so that we don't do something even stupider.
In this life, when the pain is too intense, God lovingly allows us to "pass out" or go unconcious.
Unless the flesh is INSTANTLY HEALED there will be some degeneration or decay.
IF the body is instantly healed, pain will not be felt. Howeverm if it is not instantly healed, some degradation or decay will occur.
THEREFORE, even if it takes a million years for the body to decay or degenerate even 1/10 of one per cent. The body will not not be there in one billion years as 100% of the body will be degraded.

The exception would be of course, that God allows the body to experience agony without unconciousness, completely heal the person and then start the torture and agony all over again. Something more monstrous, I think, than what any ET person is willing to believe - healing so as to enable more pain repeated over and over again for all eternity :Chinscratch:

It's just a lie, to keep the sheeple in line and extract money, a scam, a con game, a blasphemous, horrible falsehood, and you can't find it (Hell) is an honestly-translated Bible anyway.  Hell is a 404.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

I didn't mean "404" as a senior-level class, but as "Not Found."  I think you knew that.

Never was no hell,
Only light like fire,
Consuming all the darkness,
Lifting Jesus Higher
Here that gospel call
Becomin All in All

Becoming All in All
All in You n Me
Becoming All in All
In ALL eventually
Liftin Jesus Higher
Set Creation free

Set Creation Free
All enventually will be
Singin songs of gladness
No more pain or madness
Light like burnin fire
Liftin Jesus Higher

Never was no hell
No never at all
Lamb was slain befor anyone
Ever had time to fall
Love like burnin fire
Liftin Jesus Higher

Liftin Jesus Higher
Love Like burnin Fire
Until evntually
Evrybody goin to be
Liftin Jesus Higher
Set the whole creation free

I did; that's why I didn't say psych. 101.

Now you see, this thread is exactly the kind of thing that I've thought about and gone 'haha, another flaw in the ET argument'.

Also, what about the resurrection bodies of unbelievers?

The dead are raised imperishable, in glory, power and immortal. What about the unbelievers? All we hear is that some will be raised to life, and others to condemnation. What about their bodies?????

IMO, Being raised to condemnation doesn't necessarily mean not reconciled eventually to God

I agree.

There's an awful lot made about the pains of hell. My point, in conjunction with your first post, was that there is no mention about the resurrection bodies of those not saved. We only hear about the imperishable, glorious, powerful bodies. If the elect get these bodies, what do those not called first get?

ded2daworld

Probably a body like my current one

Then to be chucked into the Lake of Fire to be tormented day and night forever and ever, but if they had a body like our current ones, they'd die (eternal death, thus death is not swallowed up in victory). If they could survive and be tormented, then their body is imperishable, immortal etc, which would be just like the elect's.

I met Arnold Shwarzenegger in his prime !974. He was and is an atheist. We were joking around and I said, "When I get to heaven I'll
have a body like yours."
He said, You know I'm an atheist, what about me. I said, "when you get to hell
you'll have a body like mine" :laughing7: (I was an ET'er then)

Arn-young, then Arn-old, the way of all flesh... :laughing7:
