Peace of Mind by the Franz Family (written by Mindy Smith)

Such a beautiful song.  :HeartThrob:

Lyrics:
I need peace of mind
and a hopeful heart
to lose this rage
and move out of the dark
I ain't looking for rainbows
or shooting stars
just some peace of mind
and a hopeful heart

I need a peace of mind
and a lullaby
cause there's an angry voice
in my head tonight
tellin' me to do things
that can't be right
I need peace of mind
and a lullaby

and a miracle
for this broken soul
a little miracle
for this broken soul

I need peace of mind
and gentle hand
as I try to change
the way I am
and hope God forgives me
when I can't
I need peace of mind
and a gentle hand

or a miracle
for this broken soul
a little miracle
for this broken soul

I need peace of mind
and a hopeful heart

Deena

I can relate to that song. Why do peace and hope feel so elusive? Sometimes the things of God and the manifestation of the Spirit seem so distant that I wonder if I am not delusional to believe it. Faith is the only answer.

Deena I have felt that way often too. I think that's why I love the song so much. I can relate to it so well.

The more I press in and seek Him,  the more He reveals Himself, and the more peace of mind I have. And then we start to realize we were delusional all along for ever doubting Him. Another one of those divine ironies. :)

I love you and I pray for you Deena.  :HeartThrob:

She is one of my favorite artists, I've seen her a couple times in concert.

There is a song that brought to me everything you are saying about peace of mind. Ever since the early 1950's when I first heard this song, the message it brought was inwardly
The title of the song is: " A Satisfied mind"  Even though I never personaly waded in fortune or fame I was blessed to have the message from this song shining a light on the truth that people are richer by far with a satisfied mind
than any amount of fortune or fame in the things of this world, they are temporary and passing away while a satisfied mind just as peace of mind are eternal.  Of course in all things God gets the Glory, we can rejoice in the glory.

Not saying someone with much money or fame  can't have peace of mind or a satisfied mind, yet fortune and fame can be much more of a burden than a blessing and the song does point out that we would be hard pressed to find one  man out of ten walkng in fortune and fame in this world who has peace of mind or a satisfied mind .

If in this life only we have hope in Christ we are of all men most miserable.

Yes it's very true fire walker, and I often feel bad for those who have become rich and famous and then end up hooked on drugs and having their lives destroyed. The other day I was thinking about the Gosselin family (Jon and Kate plus 8) and how the show and fame and money ruined their family. I feel horrible for them. It's not an easy life, that's for sure.
