I am not sure how to word this ,, or makes it plain  for others to read
But that  Day Abraham   hios faith and work was  proved  and found where Jesus  also mentions this same  faith in Matt 10
and in John  tells of that day Abraham was  glad
do you think these 3 correlate ?

Jhn 8:56   Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw [it], and was glad.

Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here [am] I.
Gen 22:12

And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only [son] from me.

Mat 10:37   He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me:

and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me

And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Do you think abram/abraham  found life that Day  :dontknow:

I think Abraham testified that day, that life was already in him, his faith manifesting in his actions

By faith Abraham, when he was put to the test (while the testing of his faith was still in progress), had already brought Isaac for an offering; he who had gladly received and welcomed (God's) promises was ready to sacrifice his only son,
Of whom it was said, "Through Isaac shall your descendants be reckoned."
For he reasoned that God was able to raise (him) up even from among the dead.

Indeed in the sense that Isaac was figuratively dead (potentially sacrificed), he did (actually) receive him back from the dead.

(Heb 11:17-19)Amplified

Yes ! perfect Eaglesway  !   that faith with that work was Life  within Him !  very well said
Hbr 11:1 ΒΆ Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hbr 11:12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, [so many] as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.

:cloud9: Isaac was the body of the Head. The body can only do what it "sees" it's head do. The ram was a type of Christ, the Head.

Abraham laying down Issac was the same as him laying down his own flesh = experience of going from outer to inner court thru the curtain, the dying to self.

The ram was the veil of Christ being rent = experience of laying down all that He is in you as crowns at the Father's feet, to receive our inheritance = the Father. This is why the ram was caught by it's horns (power of cross) in the thicket (outside the "camp").

God was IN CHRIST, reconciling all men unto Himself. He is in Christ in us, reconciling us to Him. The priest's portion was God Himself.

This is why Gideon had to sacrifice TWO offerings, ie. a cake (Christ) and a goat (sinful flesh).

This is the message of the circumcision of Abraham. Isaac's "resurrection" was the promise of the glorified body. If we die with Him, we shall also be raised with Him. The ram "arose" too, but He was now veiled in another form, ie. the Master of the garden.

So yes, Abraham saw His day, and the glory it would bring, and he did what he saw his Head do. My  :2c: Blessings....

At the same time Father was the head of the Son?

John 15:19 Jesus gave them this answer: "I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

However, this (IMO) should not be seen as an authoritarian relationship or function. It is a function of a deep love relationship that allows function to flourish. This is why Jesus used Water and WIND to describe the Spirit and the Life that is in him and the Father.

John 3:35  "The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand."

John 5:20  "For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing."

This is where Christians fail to see how Headship and functionality work in the body.

John 3:8  "The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit."

John 17:22-23  "The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one;  I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.

Jesus is head over all things to the church, his body, the fulness of Him who fills all in all.(Eph 1)

in whom (we) also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.(Eph 2)

When we are.... strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,..   (and are).. rooted and grounded in love..(So we can)..comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,  and know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that (we) may be filled up to all the fullness of God.(Eph 3)

Then... speaking the truth in love, we (will) grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ,   from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.(Eph 4)

Then we will... be subject to one another in the fear of Christ(Finally understanding Headship, a function of love and nurturing one another in the Lord)...as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body...... just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her (So ought we all) so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,  that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless(in love).(Eph 5)

So that we will finally be...strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might....(and fully armored and armed).. so that (we) will be able to resist(overcome) in the evil day, and having done everything("Well Done"), to stand firm.(Eph 6)

Ain't it beautiFULL?  A woman also came out from the side of the second Adam...... a help mate fit for the Lamb, Sanctified by the water and the blood, infused with the Spirit he gave up for her...... Eph 5:32  This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.

I was speaking of the Bride. There is no opposition within the Logos. It all agrees in harmony. We just have yet to fully grow into sonship, so that we can understand it fully, hold it in the mind of Christ and handle it in a way that is pleasing to our Father.

We will never "handle" anything.
It is HE, HE, HE, that governs the universe.

Am I to understand then, that you do not believe in stewardship? How are we to deal with this dichotomy of words if we are to enter the unity of the faith? This is an honest question. Does not the language of scripture allow itself to be used?

2Co 4:2  But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

Perhaps it is only a difference of our perspectives on the words themselves, but I have to allow myself the freedom to use the words of the apostles and the prophets as they used them.

The servant of the Lord must not strive. It is a given that all is of God, so why didn't Paul, Peter, James etc, preface every statement with corrections like this. The same man who wrote, "I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me and the life I live I live by the faith of the son of God", also wrote, "This one thing I do......" There was a meeting in his own mind for both statements..... the first being the foundation of life, the second, and others like it, the outworking of that foundation between the man and his God. To assume, that because someone says, "This one thing I do...", or, "I desire is to please God in all things", the first statement is being negated is almost a judgment. To accompany such a statement with the word "fool", is a little heavy handed in my opinion, and could trouble some little one- the only reason I have gone this far in discussing it. At any rate, I have FULLY (lol) expressed myself on the subject. Peace, over and out, syonara.

2Co 5:9  Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.

Col 1:10  that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

1Jn 3:22-23  And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.  And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

As wonderful as it is...

THE SONS ARE NO HELPMATE.
WE ARE Melchizedek.

:cloud9: Not to be taking sides here, but I have to say AMEN to this.

But while they are no helpmate, a helpmate is included in the "package", as He called THEIR name, Adam. Father make us(and them) one (he who possesses his virgin soul come down from above), even as You and I are one. My  :2c: Blessings....

actually I can see  both  as right
in the sense   that the male / female   roles
as   True   Church Bride
birthing  in  sons of Glory  , Paul was a type of father figure  Timothy as a son with that nurturing

making them chaste  ''virgins '' to Christ

Eph 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Col 3:21 Fathers, provoke not your children [to anger], lest they be discouraged.

now  of the  Melchizedek    no mother or Father   of this origin   is the called of God  and Spirit of Truth only Hbr 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

so as both  sides would have it ,  its silly  to argue  over   these ''points of the Word / Sword ..

Rev 13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Gal 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

I still  believe Love will always  overcome the knowledge parts  every  time    cause we are all still learning here,  right ??   :HeartThrob:

the bride and the sons, at least one some level, are revelations of the same thing. The sons are in the Bride, until they manifest. We are Melchizedek by faith and calling, but many are called, few are chosen. Melchizedek is an aspect of the incorruptible seed within, but it will not manifest in us by declaration. "Wherever you set your foot I will give it to you".  Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God(Today if you hear His voice) If you follow Paul's language throughout his epistles, combined with Jesus' parables, it is impossible to miss that these are aspects of the "whole counsel of God" for "all believers".

The revelation of the Bride must precede the manifestation of sons. If you don't get the  Bride you will not get the Body, so you will not be able to walk as a Son because you will act like a babe. Members of one another. Married to Christ, I show you a mystery, I speak concerning Christ and the church." Are we the church? yes, we are! Are we sons, Yes We ARE. Do we act like, or MANIFEST either one? Ah, Theres the rub.

All of these "aspects"- member of the body, living stone in the tabernacle, bride and lamb- are passages that we go through on the way to becoming in our "lives" what we have declared ourselves to be (bearing witness to the testimony of God of course) from the letter.  Song of Solomon teaches all to be Bride. Ephesians 5 teaches all to be Bride. Ephesians 6 depicts the full grown son. Ephesians 4 describes the process of the bride birthing and rearing sons. There is no opposition or separation within these concepts. They are, IMO, only just barely related to "groups".

They are about a full revelation of how the plan of God works through "US". The US, to me, is more about Bride and Body, learning to love, nurture, be faithful, be yielded to Christ. The sons are the "fruit of our labor", in ourselves as individuals, but also as "members one of another and together the Bride and Body of Christ". Helpmate is a weak word, I grew up (since 1974 21 years old) with King James language, and I write on the fly :o).....what might better work is soul mate, or, "mate fit for her spouses affection and character". But I don't want to get too hung up in words. Defining who we are is less important than being what Christ wants us to be towards each other anyway.
