There have been plenty of discussions on sexual sins. There are things that scripture do not appear to address, at least directly that includes conjoined twins, varius types of birth defects and physical deformities such as only hands that extend from the sholders with no arms, some with one eye, some with three eyes, also in the beasts and critters some born with two heads, or a cat with club feet, reminds me a lot of some of the strange pictures in mythology showing very strange formed animals, I often wondered if those pictures were fore prophetic pictures of mans genetic tamperings playing God with the nature of plants, animals and man himself.

While in  school in my youthful years I had a friend who was from a strict religious church family, in the last two years of my formal education, 7th and 8th grade we had physical education class, gym, track, baseball and etc. anyway my friend was always very shy in the locker room with everyone including me, however I was the only one he ever talked to very much then and as I look back it was probably because I wasn't from a church going family  and had no religion to be a hypocrite by.

One day away from the school and at his home he confided in me and as all kids are he was nervous and bashful to talk about personal things, to cut the story short he was amorphadyde, he had maturing breasts of a woman and both male and female sexual organs and minstration cycles with the accompanied bleeding had begun, he was exceedingly fearful of being sent to hell because of his religious upbringing, he told me only his mother so far knew of this develpment as it became matured and had been able to keep it hidden from his father up to this point by basicly avoiding him most of the time and whom he was afraid would disown him if he found out.
He told me he did not want to ever get married, he didn't want anything to do with sex ever because he felt that no matter what any  sexual relationship would be  sinful and told me he was planing on and had prayed remaining with no sexual desires for man or women if he could. Then the question came that I could not answer at that time  and that was when he asked me if I thought remaining sexless was a sin.

I lost track of his family and him as our family moved and I had to go to work that next summer, no more school after that year for me. Also their family had moved away back East somewhere. Anyway if he asked me that question today I would say I would not consider being asexual a sin, or being born with his condition a sin, my personal answer would be no it is not a personal sin. what I would consider a sin about it would be the traditional church persecuting and condemning him for if he had chose to be the woman in a relationship they would consider him a homosexual and if he chose to be the man  in the relationship he would be considered a lesbian, and yes traditional formal organized churches have been such pharisees about these things over the hundreds of years that  it appears that is exactly what he would have been faced with in this life and could expect from religious church hypocrites save for the few who do not walk in condemnation of others. He would have to keep it hidden and to himself, or receive costly medical treatments to be one or the other and even then the church calls hidding things a sin, what rubbish! We are exhorted to love one another as he first loved us and that does not say only after we are perfected in love, if we were  to wait for that then we'd never love anyone or have any compassion now.

The word says it is better to marry than to burn, it does not say that to burn in itself is a sin however if you can endure it in this life.

Peace,
Fire Walker

I addressed this situation in another thread (not asexuality but people being born both) but those who would believe sexuality is only a 'choice' would not address my point at all. One of my friends even said "God made male and female, period".

Well, what do you think about this case? Did evil spirits in the womb make this person be both?

It was supposed by some that I was excusing homosexual behavior, but I was only trying to point out that sometimes it's not people's 'fault' or 'choice' to be like they are.

We don't need afterlife torture - believers do a good job of torturing those they don't understand right here in this life.

Whatever course of action your friend takes, I'm sure God will take into account his birth defect.

Excellent post, Byron.

This is clearly a case of a physical birth defect and I cannot even understand how anyone can call this sin. It is not at all the same as someone with male genitalia desiring to have sex with other men or a someone with female genitalia desiring to have sex with other women. It is the whole "woman trapped in a male body" thing that I believe is demonic confusion and not reality.

As some of you know, I do not accept the idea of extreme sovereignty which would say that God ordained this any more that the woman who Jesus prayed for on the sabbath saying that it is right that this woman whom Satan had bound these 18 years would be loosed as a daughter of Abraham. The fall has affected the creation and left it in bondage to corruption waiting for the manifestation of the Sons of God. Not all things are sin or the result of sin as Jesus said about the blind man that He healed. Some are just corruption that is in the world as it says in II Peter 1.

Hi  immediately  thought of this when reading your post  firewalker
and John i do agree with what you have said ,  and byron   yes it  is true all flesh  seems to fail the Spirit , God make us more spiritual beings
but realizing this my own  two childen ,  was born  with problems  that makes them diffent  than the  majority

  what Jesus said

about eunuchs

found this ....... "one naturally incapacitated for, or voluntarily abstaining from  marriage , wedlock

Mat 19:12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from [their] mother's womb:

and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men:

and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake.

He that is able to receive [it], let him receive [it].

though  i dont fully understand this concept , it makes me want to look into these things ,

:cloud9: Amen to prayer for this person, Rose........May God grant them the grace to overcome in all things.

And as a side note; we are all becoming eunuchs for the kingdom's sake. Adam's ability to regenerate his flesh nature is being "cut off', as we yield to the Spirit of God. Ouch, LOL..... :laughing7:

Amen Cardinal , no flesh pleases God , the sons of God are His children  :Sparkletooth: suffering the flesh and all is  lusts  :mshock: us being the creature in transition   waiting ..

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God,

  and joint-heirs with Christ;

if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time [are] not worthy [to be compared] with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

I appreciate every responce I have received
on the subject of asexual causes, everyone of you have given what you have in answer.
Cardinal your responce here may be the very answer I was looking for directly, those
that make themselves eunuchs  may be doing that very thing knowingly or unknowingly for the kingdoms sake, because as you have said here Adam's ability to regenerate his flesh nature is being cut off.

This was an example to me to ponder the deeper things of God being aquainted with this individual for a short season in my early years, that was well over 54 years ago, since that time I have met a few other people  who expressed asexual desires, to live a life apart from sexual relationships, yet they still desired to have love in their lives from others and for others, so many see sex and love as the same thing, however
if you remember how we love our mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters and even close friends it is quite plain that powerful loves exsists apart from sex, God made us to love one another in that way, agape love some call it.

In saying this I also want to say  that I see it is good to be in a marriage , I prefer to call it a union, nothing evil about having an intimate sexual relationship within that union weather you bear children or not.

One day the bread by the sweat of the mans brow, the magnified by many times labor pain of the Women with child and all the many other grevious labors and sorrows of mankind shall be no more, we are all as one in Christ Jesus.

After all our numbers of days and years alotted in Adam are closing at 70 years and if by reason of strength the be 80 years or a few more the strength of them is gone into labor and sorrow then we are soon cut off and we fly away.

Peace,

FW, I actually copied and pasted your message in a discussion about homosexuality. All were ET'ers save me and they were going fast and furious with their comments mixing a little mercy with
hellfire toward homosexuals. Your anointed message shut down the discussion as they had to ponder for once the complexities we are faced with, when we view sexuality in light of the Spirit.

Thanks,

I don't think it's a sin to not have sexual desire. If anything, it opens that person up to have more energy to devote to God and good things.

That is true, and that's why Paul said it was fine to stay single. Yet He realized that most could not contain themselves, so he advised marriage in those cases. What most men don't realize is that when you are determined and stay abstinent for a long period of time, the cravings die down. The desires of the flesh are not invincible, just very strong.
In between receiving Christ (age twenty) and getting married (age 24) I was (by the grace of God) completely abstinent from any and all sexual activity in any form, which I would have previously deemed impossible. I'll admit that it was torture for the first few months, but after awhile your body figures out that you don't intend on engaging in sexual activity and will practically shut down production. The second year was much easier and honestly the last two were no problem at all. Again, you must be very determined and be willing to fast and keep your body weak and steer clear of anything that might wake things up again.
Now married for 26 years, I could not imagine life any other way, but I do know that by His grace anyone can overcome anything.

:cloud9: Good testimony! He taught me about the fourth part of the soul, desire, thru fasting and praying for my mother when she was diagnosed with cancer. Desire is not just sexual desire, although that can be a biggie, and lust is not just sexual. God defined lust for me then as desiring ANYTHING apart from God's perfect will, which can even include doctrines.

Anyway, I was shocked :mshock: to discover the very real spiritual power of the soul thru desire, as HE let it raise up the 28th day of a carrots and water fast He had instituted, so I would know it was there. It floored me. This is why He has had me to teach that there are 4 parts to the soul, not 3 as seems to be commonly taught, and why there were 4 horns on the altar. Blessings to you........

I really feel for your friend and anyone trapped by their hollow and deceptive philosophy.  Religion does make people hypocrites and Pharisees, doesn't it!  I think it's because they still think there are things they can do or not do that can separate them from God.

I think people would be better to never darken the door of a church than be placed under the shame and condemnation that comes, either overtly or covertly, to those who listen and pay heed to the wolves in sheeps clothing.  That may be a bit harsh, and it is really the system and not the people that frustrate me.  I imagine most people in the system are well intentioned, but a lie is a lie is a lie and they are liars.  God is the redeemer of ALL mankind, not the 'lucky' few who choose well or were born in the right country...

I don't think being asexual is even a sin. As far as homosexuality, it is sin, and the bible does say that no homosexual shall see the Kingdom of God, of course, the bible also says no flesh shall see the Kingdom of God. I personally will not be take any stance of judgement here, as even my own flesh and blood brother is homosexual, and he is my only flesh and blood brother. The only stance I will consciencelly take, or maintain on matters of judgement of the flesh is this one, and I believe it to be sound judgement:

John 8:15  Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.

But if one does think they sin by being asexual then they forgot these verses that fully justifies this decision:
1 Corinthians 7:32  But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
33  But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.

While it's not quite the same as hermaphroditism...to deny all sexuality, that is, to refuse all sexual activity and identification of any kind, just being a man or woman without any sexual practice and refusing any sexual desire, to personally just not like sex:  this is to the culture in the United States something akin to what the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is to Christians.

One of the main reasons for this is when it's been the wrong time/timing, with the wrong person, etc.  I've personally always been totally disgusted by every time that I ever did, and I used to be married.  And I consider myself one of the most passionate people on the planet (in the multiverse!!).  But if it just ain't right --> BLEH!!!!!!!

I was hard headed enough, though, to where God wasn't going to get through to this satyriasis over here any other way than with one premarital experience that I had, and a marriage that just wasn't cool.  Now I've got more respect for myself, more self control, more of a determination about what I really want, and it's going to be the right time with the right person or it ain't ever happening again in my life.  And when I say it was lousy, I'm not talking about my "performance."  I've actually got quite a bit to look forward to when it's "right."  But just emotionally, spiritually, intellectually, and in every other way I was always like "why in the beep did I just do that??"  I mean, I'd be COMPLETELY disgusted right in the middle of it, but when you're in a relationship you can get to where you feel obligated to have some follow through for their benefit.

There's an emotional and intellectual bond that has to be there, or certain personality types like myself aren't necessarily going to feel ashamed, but are just honestly going to wish that they'd taken care of that by themselves than with the wrong person if they just honestly had to go there at all and couldn't have had self control until it was 100% right.

I wish I could honestly say definitively for at least myself how I'll know when it's "right."  Seems like I'm only able to know when it was sooo wrong that I can't believe that I did that, that I didn't have more self control and self respect, higher aspirations, and a MUCH GREATER PICKINESS.  I went through so much with "having to" that I'm going to err on the side of caution and never ever remarry unless I am just soooooo sure 'cause I can't put myself through that kind of Hell ever again.  And again "performance" has ZERO to do with it.

As far as your observation, reFORMer, about a lot of folks in the U.S. being fed up with it, or totally turned off by it:   Of the ones that aren't religious prudes and that honestly know what they're talking about, they're probably at the same point that I am with not wanting to go there until it's right.  But the statistics are there, sadly, that they'll probably find themselves in another horribly dissatisfying situation again within 5 years.  This is one of my highest motivators towards staying in the Word and growing increasingly strict with myself about that because spirituality translates into relationships INEVITABLY

So, if there are moments when I seem stricter than anybody else in cutting very fine lines with the Scriptures, particularly over the last 5 years, there are just certain things that I won't put up with in my life and out of myself any more and I'm clinging to God until He shows me what He's had for me and has just been waiting on my satyriasis stupidity to calm down and do what He wants first, which the Scriptures teach will lead to everything else.  As far as I know, I've been through enough to where I've officially been hosed down!  Again, as far as I know...  Oooo, I ain't getting into something so horrible ever again in the Name of Jesus!

Cardinal

:cloud9: The difference you describe Martin, have to do with Him letting you feel your own lust, and I'm not talking sexual. Lust is anything we desire apart from His PERFECT will for us, and so can and does translate to lust for people that are not His perfect will for us. Praise God He has let you discern it, because now He can work with you to bring you HIS choice. And they may not look like anything you would pick, because it's not about the lust of the eyes here, with what looks good (and I'm not talking physical attributes here), it's about fulfilling HIS purpose.

This is another one of those areas where we tend to think we should be in control, but He is quite capable of shredding that illusion within a moment's notice. The astounding thing is, we don't even know our own hearts, we just think we do, and for this reason, He is a much better judge than we are in such matters. Blessings....

In order to have Jesus it was imperative for me to just say NO.  It has seemed like everybody else has only had sexually active labels to try to put on me.  Nobody thinks, "CELIBATE."  When they are told that is my sexual identification they simultaneously disbelieve it and dislike it.  I thought as I got older it would be socially easier.  I think the general population and many in the churches are however much worsened in the course of my life.  A lot of people seem more and more delusional and dangerous.  It reinforces the fact that without genuine fellowship, truly knowing and caring for one another and, as we have received the gift of Christ, ministering that to one another, we are not the Church.

Paul Hazelwood

Nope, not a sin.

The natural use of anything involves love.  These type of human conditions seem to create problems because some gender must manifest to say who they are rightly supposed to be with.

It's not really a gender issue, it has been made that.

The problems surrounding this and sexuality involve the problems of truly loveless relationships.   Lovelessness causes the problems.

True Love takes care of the gender issue.

Akira Takahashi

As an asexual myself, I have often struggled with this issue.  If I ever find it to be sinful, I will probably go looking for a relationship if only to please God and not myself.  However, I take comfort in Paul's words that it's okay to live a life without sex.

Just my $.02.
