don't name him nimrod!   I let my ex-husband name my cat 'Jezebel" and the dogs literally almost killed her :mshock:  I'll never let something like that happen again.

He just turned five months.

Five months = May = Iyyar after captivity or Zif before captivity

And he does remind me of a lion's cub.

That's the route I've been looking down, but I can't find a name that rings to me.

Somehow I think it must be a Hebrew name. But that's just me.
It must also be a name that can be shouted.

I first thought of calling him Adam because he looks in the mirror a lot.
But the pup is white in the face, not red.

I named him Seth.

At rest, he looks like the Sphinx in Egypt, but he would not respond to that name.

So, I named him Seth, after Adam's third son, who built the monument to God!

I am not sure that naming an animal after a human is Godly practice.

God desires we subdue the animals, rather than elevating them to human status.

I remember naming a dog after a mans name, (before I thought of this philosophy), some people were not keen on the idea either, so I changed a letter, so it no longer matched a mans name.

That's a great breed of dog, and I would have figured out a way to get it!
But, His way is higher and now I got this furry little creature!
