Standing Down

Just wanted to let you guys know that my wife and I have come to the realization that the season we've had as the head leadership of the church we've been in for the past 9 years has come to a close.  I announced to our council this past Sunday that we'll be stepping down from our position as pastor in December.  It's been one of the most instructive and learning experiences I've ever had and I'm thrilled beyond words at where God has brought us in these depths of love in our relationship with him as we've journied through the winding roads of the denominational bumps and boundaries.  But it's become clear to both my wife and I that the time has come to lay down the reigns and even though there's really nothing in the immediate future planned, I really don't see us remaining idle for too long before we'll pick up some kind of gatherings where we can completely submerge ourselves even deeper into the mysteries and unexplainable truths that still are waiting for us to enter into.

Change is truly in the air, and with deep breaths, I embrace every experience that awaits me.

I'm excited for you and your family.  I'm sure it will be tough, but what an adventure to be smack dab in the center of God's will.  I'll be praying for you

Thank you for sharing that with us Nathan.  I am anxious to hear about where the Lord leads you next.  For my own selfish reasons I hope it's to the Savannah area.   :bigGrin:
