Even "good people" will be subjected to Holy Retribution

Assuming UR is true,

still true nonetheless is the fundamentalist notion that even "basically good" people who loved, shared and sacrificed... or even those who lived decent lives must still be hurt by holy retribution and death if they did not believe in the blood of Jesus Christ... salvation is by grace, through faith... if they don't have that faith - they must still pay the price...

For if one sins even once, one is guilty of breaking the whole law... hence holy wrath for all except those who believe.

OK... temporary torture again...  how would you guys as Biblical UR believers address this issue?

I can agree with every thing you wrote. Except the word torture.
Human courts have many ways of punishment. But God's court only has one; torture?

Hmm, didn't Paul tell the folks in Athens they had been unknowingly worshipping the Christian God? So I think perhaps some people who never even heard about Jesus may be qualified as elect.  :2c:

I also have issues with the word torture.  While the Refiners fire can be painful at times, it brings about necessary change and maturity.  It is the vehicle of sanctification.  I am very open to the thought of this happening here in this life, and in the afterlife.  But, I can not nor will not associate God's judgments which are intertwined with his agape love...with any sort of torture.

Oh the different levels of hell and purgatory... Sins must be compartmentalized.  :grin:
