I've been a believer most of my concious life, but have only recently started discovering the truths that are hidden by the translators/translation of most bibles, so I'm very excited about all these discovering.

Wow!  While I can understand Dutch, I grew up speaking Afrikaans, after emigrating to South Africa with my parents at the age of 5.  So the German blood is in my veins, although I am a South African.

The english here have a term "dutchman" for an afrikaans person they deem stupid...  But since the afrikaaners have started taking over London, they don't use the term that often anymore!  :laughing7:

Anyway, I'm glad I found this forum and happy to be here!

Afrikaans sounds like a mix of English and old (16-17th century) Dutch.
Not surprising of course

Welcome Lifeboy. I couldn't help wondering what your wife and kids think about your new discoveries. I have problems in that area in that they don't like it. It is pretty painful for me.
