Biblical version

Take this mustard seed, plant it, and it shall grow into a mountain.

Perhaps this is what Jesus was meant to say, it seems more plausable. There is an underlying message that compliments what Jesus did. I mean throw a mountain into a sea? Moses opened up the red sea! but what else. But with this improved parable it is about putting faith into something and watching it grow, e.g 2 fishes and 5 loaves feed 5000+ people, the seed of the gospel goes out from 12 men into billions all around the world.

In says in the Book of Exodus 4:22, God says, "Israel is my son, even my first born". And in Jeremiah 31:9, he says "...for I (God) am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my first born".
Which one of them was the first born? There is normally only one first born. Or were Israel and Ephraim both twins? Or, isn't Israel and Ephraim considered one nation? Israel?

Ephraim was clearly not the first son but he got the birthright of the first son. Likely that makes him the first son in a legal sense but not in a chronological sense.

BTW even between twins there is a first born. But twins isn't possible Jacobs was renamed to Israel and got 12 sons ho became the 12 tribes. Joseph was one of his sons. Ephraim was the son of Joseph. Grandson of Israel.

A nation and a company of nations is the birthright blessing that Jacob passed on to his grandson Ephraim, the second son of Joseph.  Reuban's birthright was given to Joseph, so Joseph received a double portion through his sons Ephraim and Manasseh.  Jacob gives the birthright blessing to the younger son Ephraim.



17And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head unto Manasseh's head.
