Shame and nakedness

I was reflecting about the imagery of nakedness associated with the shame language of the Bible.

I know that ancients were strong on the association because to put someone naked in public was a punition of shame.
We still feel that shame is associated with nudity but a lot less than them because we have sticked an erotic label on nudity.

So my reflexion was, is there a connection between the sexualisation of nakedness and shame?

Some people are even going naked as a way of speaking against meat eating or fur clothing.

Are we trying to conceal the shame of our nudity by giving it a sexual meaning or is sexuality strongly associated with shame?

"Everyone stands naked before God."
Before sin entered the world... "They were naked and were not ashamed." (of course, there was just the two of them Adam and Eve at the time) but after they sinned, they were ashamed. Is sexuality strongly associated with shame or is sin associated with shame. Is sexuality therefore sinful? ...it's all in the situation and circumstances. When you're dying in the hospital, a doctor or nurse that sees your naked body is one thing. When you show your naked body to strangers that is quite another thing. When you and your spouse are delighting in each other, that is an entirely different thing than the other two.
