Hello fellow seekers of truth.

Basically a young guy from Norway who started believing in Christ a couple of years ago, was never a fan of Christianity untill that and certainly not a christian. I still can't accept the notion that the Bible is infallible truth, while all other religions are entirely/mostly false doctrines, I think the answer is somewhere in between.

Either way, I believe Jesus is the son of God and that he died for our sins, which is how I ended up in this forum. The notion that most of God's creation will face eternal suffering in the lake of fire didn't seem very logical to be the making of an infinitely intelligent and just being. I was watching the documentary finger of God the other day, and I was really disturbed how one of the Christians being interviewed prodly spoke of a Budhist that had been dead for a small period of time had seen Buddha and his followers burn in the lake of fire.

Buddha had never heard about the salvation of Christ, in fact Buddha is said to have existed before even Christ was born into this world, as his followers. What is the logic of tormenting humans that have never even heard of Jesus Christ for eternity in the lake of fire?

Well enough ranting for now, I have lots of questions which I will taint this lovely forum with )

Hi,
I also left religion behind when God called me out of the world of confusion.
The message of Christ is simple.

It isn't. The originals are the truth but they are lost. And certainly weren't written in Norwegian

Many religions have similar views, but are not totally the same of course.

QuoteThe notion that most of God's creation will face eternal suffering in the lake of fire
And that is one of the reasons why I wrote the/most Bibles are not infallible.
The word tortuture is not in the originals (it's more similar to "teaching") Eternal=Age-long. Fire is not a literal fire.  :2c:

Next time ask what will happen with the people who wrote the OT. The many great names of the OT. They didn't know about Jesus either.

1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

Welcome Daniel!

You can rest assured that He will save both believers, and even those who have died not believing yet (1 Tim. 4: 10 ) ... The gospel of traditional Christianity denies the fact that God sent His Son to save THE WORLD (John 3: 17, 1 Jn 2: 2 )

and @WW wow where'd you get that animated image of Jesus leading the sheep? Me wants one!
