Palm Sunday? (or Saturday?)

Jesus' triumphal entry


Mark 11:11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple, and having looked round on all things, it being now evening, he went forth to Bethany with the twelve.
---He didn't kick out traders. Was it Sabbath?
John 12:12 On the morrow, a great multitude that came to the feast, having heard that Jesus doth come to Jerusalem,
John 12:13 took the branches of the palms, and went forth to meet him, and were crying, `Hosanna, blessed is he who is coming in the name of the Lord--the king of Israel;'
     
   

The next day He returns   
Mark 11:12 And on the morrow, they having come forth from Bethany, he hungered
Mark 11:15 And they come to Jerusalem, and Jesus having gone into the temple, began to cast forth those selling and buying in the temple, and the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those selling the doves, he overthrew,



Why didn't Jesus kick out the traders on the day He rode into Jerusalem?
a] He didn't feel like it that day?
b] There was nothing wrong being done in the Temple for some odd reason. Or the traders were not always in the Temple.
c] There was nothing wrong being done in the Temple because even the traders respected the Sabbath. (enforced by the priests)

Was Palm Sunday on Saturday?  :icon_jokercolor:

I agree, but that was not my point.

When He entered Jerusalem people waved with leaves of the palm tree.
Leaves they had cut off. And that would be forbidden work on Sabbath.
Also Jesus made the donkey work by sitting on it. Animals have a day off on Sabbath too IIRC.
From the above it seems it was not a Sabbath day.

The only problematic thing, and the reason I wrote this post is that Jesus went directly to the Temple (He had to present Himself as a Lamb 4 days in a row).
He just looked around and left.
The next day He kicked out traders.
Why He didn't kick out traders this day?

Maybe He got distracted while reading some beautiful "Psalms" that some of His servants wrote and forgot about the "palms"?  :happy3:

Everything he does, is done in his due timing.  Perhaps it was simply "the right time" to show his zeal for his house.  :dontknow:

He could have rushed to resurrect Lazarus, or even said it right then and there.  Lazarus was dead indeed, and the time would have been just perfect to raise him, but Jesus waited purposefully for a few days before raising him.  Perhaps he was simply biding his time, til the right moment to do the deed. 

But perhaps also, if there was a festival going on in which he rode into Jerusalem, perhaps the traders were celebrating, not trading, and so there were not money changers at the temple on this present day.  But the next day they gathered, and Jesus saw them then.  Just a thought.  :dontknow:

So the leaves were cut the previous day in preperation of the possible festival?
