The Lord gave me this little teaching awhile ago.


5 Elements of the Glory of God

Leastness....

  For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.
(Rom 12:3)....
   As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. (1Pe 4:10)

When we serve one another the Lord will bless our coming in and our going out. There will be room for all to serve as they are gifted, when no one seeks preeminence among the brethren.

Eachness......

But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. (1Co 12:7)

How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. (1Co 14:26)

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith........... (Rom 12:6)

For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all may be exhorted; (1Co 14:31)

Oneness.....

For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.(Rom 12:4-5)

All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines. The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. (1Co 12:11-12)

For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
(1Co 12:24-25)


Fullness.....

And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. (Eph 1:22-23)

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. (Joh 1:16)

"Grace for grace"....get it? Not grace to build yourselves. Not grace to judge others. Not grace to rule. Grace for ministering grace. That grace and peace might be multiplied among us.

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. (Act 4:31-32)

Allness....

I am entreating you, then, I, the prisoner in the Lord, to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called, with all humility and meekness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the spirit with the tie of peace: one body and one spirit, according as you were called also with one expectation of your calling;" one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, Who is over all and through all and in all." (Eph 4:1-6)

He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.
(Col 1:17-20)

2Co 5:18  Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,

2Co 5:19  namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

So here it is, we are the instruments of Gods allness, a kind of first fruits of His creation. We have been reconciled and have been entrusted with the Word of Reconciliation. Yet, to manifest it we must first be reconciled to one another. This begins with Leastness. God will not visit the arrogant or the self servers with His glory. I am not important enough to breach the bond of peace between the living stones, the members of the body over anything less than the express will of God. Above all....have love for one another

When each of us is walking in humility preferring one another in love there is room for the grace of God to multiply among us (and great grace was upon them all and the word of the Lord grew and multiplied). Grace and peace be multiplied unto you.... Each and every one finds their function under the headship of Jesus by the operation of the Holy Spirit among the members. Eachness is simply the realization of the priesthood of the believer.

In the spirit of service and the absence of competition (If their is bitter jealousy and selfish ambition among you do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth, this wisdom is not from above) their is Oneness, union, harmony, fruitfulness (The wisdom from above is first pure than peaceable, full of mercy and good fruits).

If we walk in the light as He is in the light we have koinonea together and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. Their is tremendous victory to be had in koinonea, which means oneness

When we are walking in union, the Spirit of the Lord falls upon the acceptable sacrifice(Rom 12:1-3) and we experience Fulness. The Father earnestly desire the Spirit He has made to dwell in us. Only in the power of the Spirit can we become the house of prayer for all people, a refuge, a tabernacle of hope for all- the instruments of the Allness of God- peacemaking sons who are reconciling all things in the yoke of Jesus Christ. The whole creation eagerly awaits the manifestation of the sons of God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God. For all who are being led by the Spirit, they are the sons of God.

i didnt catch if you had scripture that put all of the 5 elements together in one passage...

the romans chapter 12 passage speaks of 7 things
are your 5 related to 5 of these 7 and if so what about the other 2

too did you make mention that these come from the son
the ones in romans 12 ..at least according to some

now there are said to be 5 things that come from the father...
and

and then 9 from the holy spirit
some of them are pretty much the same
the ones from the holy spirit can be expressed in any believers as needed

the ones from holy spirit , son and father are some of the same things
but since you mentioned romans 12
that some give as the ones thru the son

i think of them mental gifts where each believer has dominant ones
that server to put the rest into full funtion
the list of 7 from romans 12 are

Hi Josh,

I was not suggesting there are only 5 elements. I feel the Lord has given me these 5 elements as foundations for the emergence of local bodies of Christ in the love, power and diversity of function given by the mind of Christ, the Head of all things over the church, His body- Jesus.

I wasnt referring to the gifts of the Spirit, of which there are many. They are commonly categorized as 9 by the teaching of Paul but I dont think that is a limit either.

I could write a book on the interaction of the five attitudes of inter-relationships between members of the body who are subject to the Head, in a spirit of humble service, but that would be a bit presumptious on the forum I think :o).

These 5 elements of the glory of God as I see them, were presented for consideration and meditation among any who would- foundations for seeing the glory of God manifest in a local assembly.

That glory could manifest in a myriad of ways, but primarily I see it in scriptures from Acts.... "And the were all as one heart and  soul, and the word of the Lord grew and multiplied and no one among them had any need and great signs and wonders were taking place at the hands of the apostlesasnd the Lord added daily to the (gathering of called out ones) church such as were appointed to salvation."
